The Boulder muslim murderer is reported to (by family) be suffering from mental health issues... something he had in common with the white christian Atlanta murderer, who was also 21 and also purchased his gun shortly before using it to kill.

And yet systemic racism is topic #1.  I agree with your point, these people all had mental health issues, only when it's a white guy, we're all under suspicion.  Seems to only go one way.  Also, the white devil stories go on forever and you can bet the focus on this shooting will now shift to the weapon used, no collective guilt for Muslims.  I'm not advocating there should be, it's just plainly obvious there's a double-standard there.

And like a trained dog the MSM is only focused on "AR-15" and gun control.

Some boob wrote a letter to the Tribune today to the effect that these shootings are due to how easy it is to get a gun.  Personally I've owned dozens of guns over the years and to date have not shot anyone.  So disgusting.

Do they ever comment on how difficult it is for the law-abiding to get a FOID or CCL due to Illinois bureaucracy, incompetence, and slow-walking? Nothing to do with actual background checks or criminals who will bypass the system altogether, or gun free zones that attract deranged killers.

If anyone is paying attention, this individual had red flags all around them from school, law enforcement and even his family.

A relative told investigators Monday night that she’d seen Alissa “playing” with a gun that looked like a “machine gun” about two days prior, according to the affidavit.

“Alissa had been talking about having a bullet stuck in the gun and was playing with the gun,” the affidavit said. Others in the home became upset that he had the gun inside and took it from him, the relative told police, although she believed it had later been returned to him.

Anyone else notice how unlike the Atlanta shooting where the MSM instantly jumped on the hate crime and racist crime bandwagon they are entirely silent about that now when the victims are white and the suspect is Middle Eastern/Arab?

The media's biased formulated the narrative over actual news reporting.

The MSM's bias controls everything they do.  Truth is no longer an objective to be sought in reporting.

Why is this happening?   Where are the good guys?

So sad, my heart goes out to the victims and their families.  Sad that he was able to get the drop on the officer that was killed.  Sadly this won't be the end of these incidents.  It doesn't matter what laws you enact, what you ban, etc.  There will always be a segment of our population that is intent on using horrific acts to prove some point that only they really understand.

They keep talking about all of these common sense laws and background checks etc.....

This guy was all over the FBIs radar, as have been several of the other mass shooters in recent history

When they ran the BG check for the gun purchase why did that not send up a red flag that this guy needs to be closely watched?

Does the FBI ever prevent crime or do they simply say after the fact "yep, called it"?

The "FBI Watch List" sounds like a pool of mental defectives who can be manipulated to support the left's agenda-du-jour.

You will hear the agenda pushers warn about the threat of violence against Muslims but will likely see none.

Ten black folks dead and the media would be passing out gas cans and maps.

Meanwhile this guy will get his wellness treatment in jail on our dime with his faith based diet and prayer mat and letters from jail brides.

“Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Bomber, murdered three people and terrorized a city. He’ll be getting a $1,400 stimulus check as part of the Democrats’ “COVID relief’ bill,” tweeted Sen. Tom Cotton. Tsarnaev was responsible for the terrorist bombing in Boston that killed three people and injured more than 260 others during the 2013 Boston marathon.

It is now being reported that the AR-15 was just purchased 6 days ago.

CNN says it's a Ruger AR-556 pistol.

... what one expert called "a semiautomatic made for combat" that is easy to carry and has "the firepower of a long gun."
...
The pistol version is essentially the same weapon as the rifle but with a shorter 10.5 inch barrel and an adjustable stabilizing brace on the back -- held against the shoulder -- "to aid in accuracy, balance and recoil management," according to the Ruger website.
...

The Ruger web site says nothing of using a brace as a shoulder stock.

Biden has announced that he's issuing a gun control executive order Thursday. I'd say we should expect something about ATF regulation of rifle-caliber pistols and/or arm braces.

Ironic that he used the exact gun that would help them tick off 4 of their gun control items in a single shooting.

Braces, rifle based pistols, 30 round mags, background checks. Hmmmm how convenient.

“Rifle caliber pistols”

.357 come to mind, it’s a rifle and handgun caliber, same as .22. There are also 9MM rifles.
This ought to be a good head scratcher.

Does the FBI ever prevent crime or do they simply say after the fact "yep, called it"?

Don't the majority of police show up after and are more of a "clean-up" crew?  The few that are 1st responders are sometimes out-gunned by the perps they face.

The few that may have had some suspicion about either of these shooters may have been put down by their supervisors who may not have felt there was enough evidence.

Some back-pedaling:

Yahoo! News

In the wake of two mass shootings in the U.S. in a single week, the White House said Friday that President Biden is prepared to issue executive orders to enact gun reform, circumventing the need for a divided Congress to pass legislation.
...
Biden, however, made clear during his Thursday afternoon press conference that infrastructure rather than gun reform would be his next legislative priority, which led to complaints from gun control activists and progressive Democrats.
...
