A Trump supporters truck was smashed and vandalized with the word Antifa outside his home on Monday evening.

Tom Lord of Champaign, Illinois, says that he woke up on Tuesday morning to find that a window on his truck had been smashed in and the word Antifa scrawled across the back with red spray paint.

Lords 2005 Ford F-150 was decked out with two American flags and Trump 2020 across the top of his front windshield. He had also paid an artist to paint Are you American or not? on one of the windows the one which was smashed in. The busted window also had a Trump sticker on it.

I hope there was a security camera catching it all.

Let's hope Illinois police actually do the opposite of other areas and arrest and the prosecutors prosecute, the fact that they were mask makes any assault/battery in IL a felony.

Since when are there LWW's in Illinois who are willing to do property damage for political gain?

It was vandalism, not assault and battery.  The article makes no mention of masks.

Was it Antifa followers, or just someone trying to cause a stir, is not known at this point.  Not every vandal who paints a swastika is necessarily a Nazi either.

Vandals often put up anything to upset others.

Regardless of their motivation, if they are caught, the vandals should be prosecuted and sentenced.

I understand that, but if antifa continues to pop up in IL there is bound to be an assualt at some point, and since they almost always wear mask, it would be a felony.

I’m surprised. I thought they would’ve showed up on our turf earlier.

Well, Antifa has a purpose, after all.

In the 1930's, the upstart German Fascist Party, ( National Socialist Worker's Party I think the original name was, later to be called NAZI) used street thugs dressed up in cheap 'uniforms' to disrupt rival political rallies, beat up and abuse supporters of rival politicians, and provide 'muscle' for street riots. These thugs were called "Brown Shirts". Physical assaults, beatings, homes and businesses torched and wrecked was their style.

Now a days, the street thugs dress up in even cheaper 'uniforms', black pants, shirts, hoodies and masks, but are doing the exact same things as the 'Nazi brown shirts'. Their targets have been, and always will be, conservative rallies and Trump supporters. Caustic substances in milk shake cups, beatings, bike locks swung on chains to 'brain' anyone not part of their ideology are the norm for Antifa thugs. Calling this violent scum animals is degrading to vipers and feces eating vultures the world over.

What the brown shirts were for Adolph Hitler and the NAZIs, the Antifa are for the Leftist wing of the Democratic Party.

Frightening thought, isn't it?

I pray those idiots are NOT in Illinois. I would hate to see the result of an attack by the Antifa on someone that 'isn't having any of this s^%t', and deals with it in a way that would not be peaceful. Dulce et decorum est, perhaps. But a mess we don't need. The aftershock would not be good should a leftist leaning lawyer get ahold of it.

They’ve likely been here all this time. Pickings are slim to find a conservative that advertises their conservativeness like this truck was. Sooner or later however I could easily see them to start showing up at town halls especially for those with beliefs like Willis and co.

If the cops really wanted to clamp down on these creeps, they'd take some of the vehicles they seize in drug busts, put a few bumper stickers on them, park them in a suitable neighborhood surrounded with cameras and microphones, and sit in a van a couple blocks away waiting for the inevitable. Just like they do with things they really care about, or at least pretend to care about.

Why not seize the Antifa owned cars, place Trump2020 stickers on them and then let the other Antifas deal with it :)

Then charge the Antifas with crimes.   It is a 2 for one deal :)

The SA was literally founded to fight Antifa, a paramilitary force to counter the Communist's (KPD).

You'll note that while there aren't any NSDAP members in the United States today, there are plenty of communists, including Antifa.

Calling communists, "Nazis" or "Brownshirts" is bizzare and counterproductive.

Slightly off topic, but bit of a history lesson: National Socialist German Worker's Party was the only name they ever had. At that time "Fascist" referred only to Mussolini's National Fascist Party in Italy. The word Nazi, from the first two syllables of Nationalsozialistische (National Socialist, in German) was a derogatory term and never would have been used by any actual Nazis, but history is written by the victors so they are forever known as Nazis.

But you are absolutely right that everything Antifa does is right out of the Nazi/Fascist playbook from early 20th century Europe. They declared communism to be a existential threat, justifying the use of violence, then just claimed anyone who didn't agree with them is a communist

Here's a place where the truck vandal might show; https://www.facebook...55052571830815/Antifa tends to come out in daylight in jurisdictions controlled by the Left.  Chicago has it's share of Anti-American meetings like this: https://www.facebook...95933164586242/ Nice of the vandal to spell it out instead of using the usual graffiti. https://www.devianta...mbols-714147932

To some degree the violence of the Left does work. Seeing a Trump bumper sticker is pretty rare. I think that this is due to most on the Right understanding that merely showing support for Trump is enough in the minds of Leftists to justify violence against the property, or even of the person if they are present. I have never even heard of a vehicle being vandalized for having a Hilary Clinton, or even some obscene bumper sticker that is anti-Trump, but it is almost routine to hear about people being attacked for wearing a MAGA hat, or displaying a pro-Trump sign or bumper sticker.

In this case, even if caught, I doubt that the punishment would be anything significant. A plea deal to have it dismissed in return for restitution of the cost of repairs would probably be all this individual will ever get. And the truck owner will be dealing with glass shards for the rest of the time he owns that truck.

This is nothing new. The Left has always felt justified in using violence and vandalism. Over 30 years ago one of my then teenage kids put a bumper sticker on one of the family cars that poked fun at PETA. It said PETA in big letters, with the words People Eating Tasty Animals. One morning I found the car with a smashed rear window, the bumper sticker half scraped off, and the sides of the car keyed. Personally, at this time I avoid any identifying or cause related material on any of my vehicles, other than showing my support for the members of the Armed Forces. No Trump stickers, no NRA stickers, no "This car protected by Smith and Wesson" or anything like that, and no MAGA hat sitting on the dashboard.

I believe if antifa keeps it up, it's not going to end well. One day they're going to pick on the wrong person and...

This behavior is nothing new. I remember when some other soldiers and I got into the airport in San Fran Sissyco from Vietnam, a bunch of hippies cussed us and threw dog poo on us.

I made up my mind right then and there - if I EVER see anyone mistreat a veteran in the future, man or woman, it's gonna be game on.

Lefty whacko cowardly thugs. Sooner or later we have to start responding in kind. This is how the Nazis gained power with their Sturmabteilung Brownshirts, Mussolini with his, and the Bolsheviks first with their armed mobs of so-called workers and soldiers "Soviets," and then with their "Red Army.". To this day, the average American still blames the average German or Russian citizen for not rising up and fighting against them. Yet, the left hypocritically refers to anyone who fights back against these thugs as "fascists," "racists" or "white supremicists.". If you organize to fight against this threat to our bodies, freedoms and even lives, you are deemed a "right wing white supremacist militia.". Of course, the so-called mainstream media backs them up. Our country is heading for some dark days.

Antifa members own cars?  I thought they were all 30-something deadbeats working part time at minimum wage living off their parents because there just aren't that many careers in gender studies and other nonsense degrees.

There was a news story about some elderly man who was assaulted in his car by ANTIFA. The reason - old people tended to vote Republican.

I don't have bumper stickers (none), T-shirts or caps which might elicit retribution. I can't help being old - nature took care of that. I do believe in Darwin ;)
