Kam Buckner, D-Chicago, one of Pritzker & Madigans recent appointees and allies, Busted by Springfield cops for DUI

Before being put in handcuffs and placed in the back of the officers squad car, Buckner told the officers about something in his car. However, that part of the video was redacted by police.

I have a [redacted] in my car, Buckner said.

OK. Do you have somebody that can come and get that? Davis said.

Sarcasm on \<

Maybe it was a large amount of campaign donations in cash? There’s camapaign cash in the center console, and compromising photos of opponents.

Sarcasm off \>

Curious why they would redact anything from the body cam. They have no issues showing him go thru the DUI test. I hear stories how body cams arent on during certain events and peeps go nuts. WOW, they are making it so comfy for him on finding a line to walk on.

Buckner then said something about “fake guns.” He said: “My dad’s a cop, my dad was CPD, so old school shoot, old school shoot.”

“I’ll have you start calling for somebody to come get that [redacted], somebody that you feel comfortable taking it, OK, because we don’t want to leave it in the car and have the tow company have it go missing there,” Davis said.

Most definitely a gun.

Probably a dead hooker. That would likely go missing in the tow company's yard. Goodness knows what kind of trouble that would cause should it fall into the wrong hands.

Maybe a lame attempt at a bribe... I've got a bag full of other people's money in my car, hint hint...

Wouldn't they have searched his car by now or asked him for consent to a search? Ive been watching to much Live PD.

They still need probable cause for a search. If it's a firearm and he doesn't have a CCL, that would do it, but they didn't check for a CCL at the scene. Maybe they have by now.

Playing devil's advocate here, but say he does have a CCL and say it was a gun in the car. Could the redaction be to protect the identity of a CCL holder?

While possible, there are plenty of media reports in other cases where they freely release the information that the person has a FOID or CCL

That would be some combination of lame and bizarre, if true. Why bleep one word or phrase, but not the whole sentence?

If it's to protect his privacy, it would make more sense if he said "I have my HIV meds in the center console" or possibly "I have my Thorazine prescription in the center console."

But I'm willing to accept lame and bizarre as real.

I'm OK with the possibility that he does have a CCL and they were protecting him. But...In the spirit of Harry Reid, I'm going to need proof that it wasn't a dead hooker.

If he's arrested for DUI and the car is impounded, it'll be searched for property inventory... no warrant or PC needed.

According to local Fox News, he had a previous DUI arrest.

Was it in Crook county? If it was he has nothing to worry about, Fox will just write it off due to his community service as an APPOINTED congress creature.

Previously at least some police in Cook County made arrests. I suspect some of them still do.

More special treatment for special citizens.

Let's say it was a gun, how hard would it be for him to get a CCL? If he doesn't have a CCL, he should be charged with a felony just like anyone else. I think those who make the laws should be subjected to the full penalty of the laws they produce.

Not to defend this guy, but you don't need a CCL to have your gun in your car legally.

Is he an idiot and a hypocrite? Sure. Was he breaking any laws (well other than the obvious DUI)? Unlikely...

As long as it is unloaded and in a case if he doesn't have an FCCL.

I haven't seen any reporting to the contrary. Now, I get that one of the rules of firearms safety is to always treat it like it's loaded, but that's not what we're talking about here.

Legally, unless it was shown to be loaded by police on the scene, I don't see the issue here.

Everyone has the right to their firearms, even people I disagree with.

Friend,

To the surprise of very few, it turns out that Governor Pritzker is under FBI investigation for refusing to pay the high taxes he wants to impose on us.

Operating like a typical Chicago politician we knew he was, Pritzker stole millions from the Illinois taxpayers, and wanted us to pick up the tab.

Pritzker spread the wealth around to his cronies. The Governor used his ill-gotten gains to max out donations to Betsy Londrigan, his hand-picked candidate in Rodney's district, while also giving millions to committees trying to defeat him.

Even his stolen money couldn't beat Rodney. But the bottom line is this: no one - including Governor Pritzker - is above the law.

Betsy Londrigan is already running for 2020, but without her boss back home in Chicago, she's a lame duck. It's time for Betsy to admit Pritzker is corrupt, and it's time to Pritzker to accept that the law also applies to him.

It's time to re-establish sanity in Illinois.

Thank you,

Alison (Team Rodney)
