ragsbo Posted June 27, 2022 at 10:40 PM Posted June 27, 2022 at 10:40 PM There are several running on the republican side for senate. I know nothing about any of them. Who can beat her?
mikew Posted June 27, 2022 at 10:55 PM Posted June 27, 2022 at 10:55 PM Vote your conscience on that one. the front runner, Salvi, her husband ran for the seat before and backstabbed gun owners.
MagSlap Posted June 27, 2022 at 11:17 PM Posted June 27, 2022 at 11:17 PM In a normal world? Any wet sock... But...illinois..and all that...

The fact that that thing won to begin with tells you that her reelection is a self-fulfilling prophecy in this Bizarro-World of a state. Duckie and Cryin' Dick. What an embarrassment to live in Illinois!

Al Salvi, like the majority of Illinois "Republican" political candidates north of I-80, was a RINO.
markthesignguy Posted June 28, 2022 at 01:21 AM Posted June 28, 2022 at 01:21 AM What???? no talk at all about Peggy Hubbard??? She should stomp the duck into a mud puddle. Quote Navy Veteran, former police officer, proud gun owner, Harley Davidson enthusiast and PROUD Republican Casey Chlebek Matthew Dubiel Peggy Hubbard Bobby Piton Kathy Salvi Jimmy Lee Tillman II Anthony Williams

mikew Posted June 28, 2022 at 02:40 AM Posted June 28, 2022 at 02:40 AM Elections have consequences. The Jack Ryan/Alan Keyes debacle gave us US Senator Barack Obama.

Well, and the records were there to be sued for... If I recall the story correctly, the GOP establishment had inquired if there were any skeletons. "Nope, nothing here."

That said, I don't think the GOP has much of a chance of unseating the current Democrats this round, we are in Illinois after all. The one thing I do find encouraging this election cycle tthough is that we are seeing a more 'MAGA' orientated group of Republicans taking front stage vs the typical establishment RINOs that are all too familar in Illinois.
spanishjames Posted June 28, 2022 at 10:04 AM Posted June 28, 2022 at 10:04 AM No one. She's a shoo-in.
Nanook Posted June 29, 2022 at 11:44 AM Posted June 29, 2022 at 11:44 AM If Jack Ryan had been a 'D', the story would have garnered him votes. Adding to his credentials, in a way.
2A4Cook Posted June 29, 2022 at 12:32 PM Posted June 29, 2022 at 12:32 PM Mark Kirk couldn't beat her, and he was pretty much a leftist Demobolshevik pretending to be a RINO. We need someone who checks more boxes than she does: Asian, female, disabled and insane = 4 boxes. We need a Black/Asian, Muslim/Atheist, trans woman, lesbian/gender neutral/non-binary, formerly dolphin transitioned to human Bolshevik turned RINO. (And yes, I voted for Hubbard ... who would suffer an Alan Keyes if she had won.)
ragsbo Posted June 29, 2022 at 03:33 PM Author Posted June 29, 2022 at 03:33 PM I figured the cheat is on to keep her worthless rear in office, just wanted to know who to support to try to beat her. Both our so called senators make we wanna puke everytime I see them

What good is voting for "the good guys" when they backstab like that? At least you knew that you were going to get boned by yours.
SiliconSorcerer Posted June 30, 2022 at 11:56 AM Posted June 30, 2022 at 11:56 AM I voted for Hubbard but I hear a lot of support for Salvi, let us pray.
vito Posted June 30, 2022 at 03:19 PM Posted June 30, 2022 at 03:19 PM No one will beat the useless Duckworth. Her only “qualifications” are that she lost her legs, is Asian, and female. No brain or skills required. Plus she supports unlimited abortion rights which is enough to keep the suburban White female vote. I knew nothing about any of the Republicans seeking the nomination and didn’t even vote for any. I voted in the primary pretty much only to vote for Bailey, who has little chance against the Fat Rich boy.

Kinda of partially why I voted for hubbard (good) and had "irvin" type qualities that helps in Chicago.
illinois_buckeye Posted June 30, 2022 at 11:44 PM Posted June 30, 2022 at 11:44 PM Was talking to my wife today, we both voted for Hubbard and she may try to challenge. I guess there’s talk that the state reported different numbers than her campaign in the vote tally but who knows.

We went for Hubbard as well, I think she hits all the qualifiers that Duck has , ethnic, female, vet, seems conservative. So far it looks like we ended up with a white female slip and fall lawyer…. Sigh
