Molly B. Posted April 29, 2016 at 05:57 PM Posted April 29, 2016 at 05:57 PM After working on this for a year, I just received a call from the Texas Attorney General's office informing me the Governor of Texas is prepared to issue a proclamation stating that Texas will recognize and honor carry licenses issued by the State of Illinois. I started this effort when Texas changed their laws concerning reciprocity and recognition of CCLs from other states. At first there was resistance from lower level administration officials but I pointed out the changes in Texas law and insisted that Illinois CCLs qualified for recognition. After many conversations up through the chain of command, it appears our efforts have resulted in a proclamation on the Governor's desk, awaiting his signature and announcement. The announcement is expected within the month, and possibly as soon as today! God bless Texas!

The map is filling up for those with Illinois permits what about FL? Also I noticed on usacarry's reciprocity map that West Virginia & Maine don't recognize the IL permit, is this moot since they are constitutional carry or is that for residents only?
