Well - Chicago Democrats are at it again. This from the ISRA this morning:

Earlier today, hardcore antigun extremists in the Illinois House introduced HB4359 which would require you to surrender your FOID card and firearms if your name ever appears on the government's "NO FLY LIST." Obama and the gun grabbers would like you to believe that people on this list are too dangerous to own guns. If one accepts that simplistic view, then HB4359 might make sense to them. However, the thinking person will have a lot of serious questions about the no-fly list.
NO-FLY LIST Q&A:
1. Q: How does a person get on the No-Fly List? A: That's a secret.
2. Q: Who adds names to the No-Fly List? A: Bureaucrats and political appointees.
3. Q: By whose authority are names added to the No-Fly List? A: That's a secret.
4. Q: Can a person's name be placed on the No-Fly List for political reasons? A: That's a secret.
5. Q: Does a person have to be convicted of a crime to be on the No-Fly List? A: No.
6. Q: Is a person whose name is on the No-Fly List given the opportunity to face their accuser(s)? A: No.
7. Q: Does a person's name remain on the list forever? A: Probably.

YET gun owners STILL vote "D" believing the D Politicians when they say "if you like your guns, you can keep your guns."

 

Useful idiots!

As you already know I am as Union as they come . The only times I have voted Democrat was for my Father who was a city Alderman

Other than that I punch a Straight Republican Ticket . Most of my Union brothers that I know personally refuse to Tow the Union line when it comes to Voting .

However there are several that blindly follow and cannot think for themselves . Logic and reason has no effect on the "useful idiots"

XXX is a "useful idiot" his car is pasted with Hitlery stickers . We got a load of Hitlery for Prison 2016 stickers covered up all his stickers with them . Its been over 2 weeks and has yet to catch it .

We take 2 large buses into work XXX is and has been banned from the Cool Kids bus . XXX doesnt like it Oh well

If one is incorrectly placed on the no fly list and his/her FOID is confiscated, will the spouse's FOID save the "family" guns or will the spouse FOID be lost also along with all guns?

 

If I marry my dog and get a FOID card for it will my guns be safe? If I rename my dog B.H Obama, will its FOID be safe because that name would not appear on the no-flea - oops, fly - list?

Interesting that Ms. Flowers would support this measure, when she sponsored or co-sponsored HB0169 that provides for expungement of arrests due to mistaken ID, HB0430 which allows a person convicted of a non-violent class 3 or 4 felony to petition the court ot be convicted of a Class A misdemeanor instead, HB0162 which eliminates thefelony restriction on TANF benefits, HB0167 an act which provides for expungement of records of arrest where no charges were filed, HB0494 which changes the definitions and standards applied to school employee background checks, HB1458 which changes the School Code to require reading Miranda warnings to any student questioned by LE, HR0498 and act which allows "mentioned members of the vulnerable population to have a chance to relieve themselves of the stigma of being convicted felons and to have a chance to obtain jobs by having their records sealed."

Rep number 4, Letisa Wallace, is a common Democrat waste-oid. She replaced that &%^%$^ individual Chuckie Jefferson when he was told to 'retire'.

 

To say that she is clueless about anything, is to insult the concept of 'clueless-ness' by associating it with her.

If this were in the Senate I'm sure my senator would be co-sponsoring, but my rep in the house is totally checked out, I don't even remember the last time I saw him cast a vote on anything.

OK, no one stepped up to answer my previous question so I'll ask it again and add another.....

 

1. Under the proposed legislation, if one of a married couple is added to the no-fly list and both have FOID cards, does that mean both lose their cards? Are all weapons in the household confiscated? Are weapons considered to be jointly owned and therefore none can be taken from the houshold?

 

2. The Congressman that was on the no-fly list because he had the same name as a UK person of interest found a rather simple solution, He used his middle name when he flew and had no problem. Does that mean one is free from the no-fly list problem because the FOID and CCL may use only the middle initial? Does the no-fly list test use common name substitutions like Rich or Dick for Richard? If all of this is true, what real use is the no-fly list that has swelled to over 750,000 names?

 

And, what happens if, as OldMarineVet pointed out, some anti-gun state minion transfers the FOID database to the DHS for addition to the no-fly list? Huh?

^ You're thinking about this too much. What they are pushing here is a knee-jerk reaction to a problem that is as common as unicorns! The solution is obviously to shoot first and ask questions later do something and then add further language that would confiscate all guns iron out the details. Mmmmkay?!

I'd doubt it. If someone is disqualified from having a FOID, that doesn't mean their spouse is disqualified as well.I'm sure the list uses the full name, and probably aliases as well.Maybe we should do some research on this.Starting with the term "no fly list". I'm pretty sure that there's technically no such thing as a no fly list.
