TRJ Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:37 PM Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:37 PM Slips done from downtown Budapest. I'm chilling by a fire in a cool coffeehouse my wife found. Here's hoping the slips do some good this time.
mauserme Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:37 PM Author Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:37 PM Has a Call To Action gone out yet? (Done x2 for each) Yes about 7 or 8 minutes ago.
mauserme Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:38 PM Author Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:38 PM Since SB1966 has to go to Judicial Committee next, can it still come back to the floor for a vote yet today? Yes, it could.
springfield shooter Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:38 PM Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:38 PM House Supplemental Calendar 1 and Senate Supplemental Calendar 1 are available. I do not see SB 1966 listed. Am I missing something? Or can they add it at will? Never mind.

I'm not voicing an opinion for nor against this. It will be interesting to see how Willis votes on this after yesterday saying any law enforcement who doesnt enforce the law should turn in their badges, in reference to gun owner sanctuaries.
Plinkermostly Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:42 PM Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:42 PM Ah -- am I right in:HB 1637 violates immigration lawsHB 1966 violates the 2nd AmmendmentHB 1438 violates controled substancesfederal laws?
mauserme Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:45 PM Author Posted May 30, 2019 at 07:45 PM ... HB 1438 violates controled substances federal laws? Speaking of controlled substances, we didn't get this into our alert but I wonder what the people who would like to use recreational marijuana will do when they find out they can no longer buy a gun under SB1966.

skinnyb82 Posted May 30, 2019 at 08:17 PM Posted May 30, 2019 at 08:17 PM Silly questions. Did the state make you pay a vendor for the prints when you were arrested? Does the state allow fingerprints done for a job to be used for the CCL or FOID?I paid for them in some way, shape, or form, but there was no "fingerprint" expense outright. Probably contained in the big chunk of my fine that went to the arresting agency. Back when they used print cards. IIRC can't use prints from employment backgrounds for CCL.Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
Illini2A312 Posted May 30, 2019 at 08:17 PM Posted May 30, 2019 at 08:17 PM ...HB 1438 violates controled substancesfederal laws?Speaking of controlled substances, we didn't get this into our alert but I wonder what the people who would like to use recreational marijuana will do when they find out they can no longer buy a gun under SB1966.1438 does require a buyer's ID to be scanned so it does make you think what that data will be used for.
skinnyb82 Posted May 30, 2019 at 08:26 PM Posted May 30, 2019 at 08:26 PM Well let's see. They already have a database of how many FTIP checks have been run on you (or it's strong suspected). Database of your prescriptions. Database of landscapers. Database of.... Database of...now people who will be visiting dispensaries. They can't take guns from recreational users. They can try but any state court will rule that no Illinois LE has jurisdiction because it's being taken off the list of controlled substances in Illinois. Oregon Supreme Court ruled on about the same issue. Said it's the feds' problem with people lying on 4473s. Restored an MM patient's carry license. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
