On November 23, Representative Willis filed Amendment 8 toHB1016 Firearm Dealer Licensing with the intention of moving the bill through the House with little warning.

 

True to form, the amenement is now scheduled to be heard in the House Judiciary Committee tomorrow afternoon, November 29.

 

 

Please file slips opposing HB1016 HFA8 now!

I. IDENTIFICATION: Enter your personal information. Enter "NA" for the Firm/Business or Agency and Title fields unless you are officially representing an organization.

 

II. REPRESENTATION: Enter "Myself" unless representing an organization.

 

III. POSITION: Use the drop down in Section III to choose HFA8. After choosing HFA8 indicate your position by selecting the "Opponent" radio button.

Edit: I get the confirmation screen, but doesn't show up on the slips page

Yeah, done that multiple times. Was in the 130's for count when filed and now 170's and not under first or last name in the ordering.

 

When I reregistered I got a confirm account email within 3 seconds. Still yet to receive a confirmation email for my slip

 

 

See what happens by the morning I guess. Only time I have ever had an issue is why I mentioned it.

Go to your profile in the left hand margin and select manage slips. I ginally got confirmation email and said I placed mine under no position on merits.

 

Guess the old click one register another snafu is back. I always double check my button toggles before submitting. I know ai chose the right opponent position.

In Manage Slips, make sure that HFA 8 is selected from the drop down box. The default is HFA 1. I didn't see mind until it was updated correctly.

How does it work when you've filed slips on every amendment - does the committee only look at the latest amendment?

I think we need to find a way to get money to Kathleen Willis's political opponents. Talking with her at the town hall meeting, its obvious that she thinks the Second Amendment is anachronistic. Her "Musket" remark to me made that clear. But as much as she believes in gun control, she's also being funded . Unless Second-Amendment civil rights groups fund her opponents, this is basically free money to Willis, its a no-lose proposition for her to sponsor Anti-Second Amendment bills.
