Upholder Posted January 11, 2023 at 01:42 AM Posted January 11, 2023 at 01:42 AM After being sworn-in for the 118th Congress on Saturday, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC) yesterday introduced H.R. 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. The bipartisan legislation has 118 original cosponsors. https://hudson.house.gov/press-releases/hudson-introduces-hr-38-concealed-carry-reciprocity-act-begins-118th-congress
BobPistol Posted January 11, 2023 at 01:54 AM Posted January 11, 2023 at 01:54 AM And just like before, it will be DOA in the leftocrat dominated senate.
Dumak_from_arfcom Posted January 11, 2023 at 03:23 AM Posted January 11, 2023 at 03:23 AM Look at that GOP congress passing and doing all kinds of stuff knowing full well that it will never ever get a vote in a Schumer controlled Senate. Contrast these first two days of activity in the House with the entire 2 years that Paul Ryan was Speaker of the House during the Trump administration and the GOP also had the Senate.

IF they had worked WITH Trump just a little, they could have shut the liberals down and down hard. Those guys were traitors
Quiet Observer Posted January 11, 2023 at 03:48 AM Posted January 11, 2023 at 03:48 AM Actually has 4 Dem co-sponsors, 2 from Texas, 1 from Georgia, and 1 from Maine. But as others have said above, it stands no chance in the Senate.

Yup. 100% political theater. Politicians are just actors on another stage.
yurimodin Posted January 11, 2023 at 09:05 PM Posted January 11, 2023 at 09:05 PM Does full faith & credit clause combined with Bruen not already facilitate this?
3ddiver Posted January 12, 2023 at 02:34 AM Posted January 12, 2023 at 02:34 AM Total waste of time to get donations at the appropriate time. This could have been done with a republican house, senate, and president but they sat on their hands.
djmarkla Posted January 12, 2023 at 03:13 AM Posted January 12, 2023 at 03:13 AM They were too spineless to do this when Republicans had the house and senate and the president.

chargermick Posted January 12, 2023 at 09:03 PM Posted January 12, 2023 at 09:03 PM I haven't forgotten that Trump campaigned on a promise to pass national reciprocity! ALL POLITICIANS ARE LIARS!
dukemason Posted January 16, 2023 at 02:10 PM Posted January 16, 2023 at 02:10 PM Paul Ryan’s fault this never happened when they had the chance. They all bought into the Russian collusion lie.

For further comparison, look at when they had the House and Senate during the last 2 years of the Obama administration. How many times did they repeal the ACA then, knowing Obama would veto? Then when Trump had his pen all ready to go...nothing.
mab22 Posted January 17, 2023 at 02:20 AM Posted January 17, 2023 at 02:20 AM The more I think about it, the more I think of the FOID, maybe there should be no reciprocity LAW and it’s just a federal citizen recognized thing. Not something a government bureaucrat issues. BTW where’s your 1A interstate license or permit? Don’t need one because it’s part of your constitutional rights, should be the same with the rest of your rights. Was there ever a “license” issued from the federal government granting you permission to transport, carry or own firearms from one state to another? When did the guy on the stage coach riding shotgun tell the other to stop because they can’t go through state X cause the state didn’t allow shoguns of his make, caliber, or his rifle or pistol type? When did Hedley Lamarr tell his people they had to stop at the state line because of the state firearm laws in the documentary Blazing Saddles?

SiliconSorcerer Posted January 18, 2023 at 09:32 PM Posted January 18, 2023 at 09:32 PM HR 38 Reciprocity Act should just ban any state's firearms regulations.
