I stopped listening to Roe when Garry Meier was dropped. I'm not sure at all what happened but I got the impression that Garry was betrayed by Roe during his last contract negotiation and I felt that wasn't right. It wasn't the only reason I stopped listening but it was the last straw for me. I liked Garry.

I used to listen to Roe, but this makes me glad I don't anymore... he's an overpaid opinionated idjit.

Agreed he judges and thinks all ccw and gun people are idiots, he has gotten to be really bad the last 2 yrs. he has taken a huge raring hit also. He was supposed to lose the show when michael savage took over a slot but guess not.

Long ago Roe was pro carry and pro freedom, then when we got ccw he did a 180 and has gotten worse ever since. His show is second rate at best and I think he is trying to appeal to the commie liberal crowd. He knows he is spouting stupid stuff and lies. Roe is hack and a waste of time to listen to.

It's all about the ratings. If he can make someone angry enough to listen more and possible even call, he wins.

How did that work out for Pierce Morgan?

Great !!!! if you ask me.

Amen, brother.

Roe isn't funny on his own. With Gary Meier, the two of them were pretty good.

Since Gary's departure, the Roe Show has been unfunny and rife with commercials. It's been six or more years since I last tuned in, but I remember how four times out of five when I tuned in they were in commercials.

You're talking about a radio show that believes that high-brow entertainment is to make fun of people's names.
They're such losers that they won't even respond to social media.

I couldn't believe my ears! Guess I need to go back to Garry on WGN when the Cubs aren't playing, WBBM otherwise. Blech.

I just listen to Hannity on 560. He's annoying, but at least he's rooted in SOME truth.

I guess I don't feel bad to have missed the show this afternoon. I used to enjoy the guys years ago, but like previously stated they have gone down the tubes.

The only ones I listen to on WLS with any interest anymore are Bruce Wolf and Dan Proft (mainly because of Dan) and John Kass and Lauren Cohn (mainly because of John.)

It's disappointing that these guys are supposed to be conservative talk show hosts, and we get to hear them spout the same stuff as most of the left and the antis do. At least we do until we change the channel.

I stopped listening to all Chicago A.M. garbage (talk/sports/etc..) when I got XM radio five years ago. Granted, not every show is going to be memorable, but when I listen to any Chicago A.M. station it's 60% commercials. When a show is on, it's non-stop talking about the most mundane bs and speculation. I don't know how people could handle listening to it every day. Sometimes I enjoy the Monday morning analysis after a Bears game but that's about it.

Trust me. If you're on the road a lot, get xm radio. Listen to your favorite talk show. When it goes to commercial jump to your favorite no commercial music station. Go back to talk after the known commercial breaks or when you feel like it. Always something to listen to.

I've caught a few minutes of Roe Conn recently because I was waiting for Michael Savage to come on.

Roe Conn isn't even remotely funny, though he tries hard to be. I could hear his co-hosts struggling to keep the ball rolling and forcing some laughs. I don't know how he's stayed on the air so long.

I can listen to streaming audio all day at work. Part of it is just to have some noise in the background to not have to hear everything my coworkers are saying (cube farm). WGN all day makes me nuts. I don't mind WLS until Roe comes on at 2. I agree, he was much better with Garry. I had WBBM on for most of the afternoon.

Some of the talking heads in the media and those that have radio time would get lost in a paper bag. My dad use to say some people did not know do do from shineola and could not find their back side with both hands .

A mirror and the aid of a bright light. That's how my dad says it.

LOL, mine said that too. Didn't use "do do" and I bet your dad didn't either.

I listen to podcasts, and the commercials are not obtrusive, and if they are I can fast forward. I don't have to listen to statist tripe, either left or right. Liberty media is where it's at

Much like John Howell - "conservative" in the radio announcer field must mean someone who dares to criticize Obama and doesn't believe we should start by banning all guns.

John Howell is a conservative? In whose world?

edit: Oh, after rereading I think you're being sarcastic. You need the purple crayon.
