Tango7 Posted August 24, 2016 at 04:07 PM Share Posted August 24, 2016 at 04:07 PM Because just as they ignored a lack of executive experience for Obama so they could vote for #thefirstblackpresident, they're willing to forego things like integrity to elect #thefirstwomanpresident. Either that or it's #notBushTrump.

Nanook Posted August 24, 2016 at 05:49 PM Share Posted August 24, 2016 at 05:49 PM That's why they're called "Yellow dog democrats" because they would vote for a yellow dog if it ran as a democrat. Did you see what her vp candidate said the other day? He said white people should become a minority to "atone for past racism". Maybe his family owned slaves at one time, but I'm sure mine did not. What is wrong with these people?

What is wrong with these people? Obama is trying to make whitey a minority. That's what all this illegal immigration is about. He didn't have enough time to finish the job so thats why he needs the BIOTCH to finish the job. What is wrong with these people is greed and lust for power. GTX63 Posted August 24, 2016 at 10:46 PM Share Posted August 24, 2016 at 10:46 PM Listened to a guy yesterday confronted about Hillary. He says "Yeah, well Cheney/Hailburton..." like perceived wrongs in the past oks the present."Yeah, well nothings been proven." So lets ignore the smoke coming from under the door because we can't prove there is a fire. Maybe someone who is a pyromaniac is burning something instead."She hasn't taken a nickel in salary from her foundation, and it was given a five star rating." Not directly; but her chief of staff did while they were both on the clock for the US government."I think Republicans are afraid she'll just take their power away and they don't like it." Not a single acknowledgement, just deflection, denial and justification. For the most part that is about as deep as I can read them.
GTX63 Posted August 24, 2016 at 10:48 PM Share Posted August 24, 2016 at 10:48 PM My neighbors a hard core conservative. Been married to a flaming liberal for 45 years. She loves Obama. She believes all the good he could have done for the country was obstructed by Republicans. She can't wait for Hillary to get in office and stick to them for what they did to BHO.I don't ask but I have a feeling they aren't quite as passionate about each other these days. When I was a kid, I couldn't see why my dad complained so much about the country "going down the tubes". Now I know why I didn't see it, because I was distracted with life. And that is exactly why most people don't give a **** who wins the election...as long as they don't have to sacrifice anything and they can keep watching the Kardashian idiots on TV. This country has been carved up into so many small slices that it's scary.
GTX63 Posted August 24, 2016 at 10:52 PM Share Posted August 24, 2016 at 10:52 PM Denial is strong, very strong. There is an almost immediate wall that goes up because you are "on the other side." If you lay out facts you can still see the resistance to accept what you are saying as it would require them to admit the truth, and while the messenger may be flawed (maybe they say) the message still has to be carried forward. MrTriple Posted August 25, 2016 at 03:28 AM Share Posted August 25, 2016 at 03:28 AM I have friends like this. It basically boils down to the fact that they're adamantly, aggressively liberal and believe that we're "behind" as a nation and need to "progress". The concerns of 2nd amendment advocates, the religious, conservatives (both social and economic) are considered to be the concerns of the unenlightened, the stupid, and the ignorant, and therefore deserving of nothing more than contempt and derision, and which need to be quickly pushed aside and relegated to the trash heap of history alongside Greek mythology, slavery, and racism. There's an absolute refusal to consider that maybe what we've been saying is actually true, that you can't tax yourself to prosperity, and they instead insist that we can't be allowed to "cling to the past", that we must "move forward" at all costs. The real reason the economy is so poor, according to them, isn't an uncompetitive and stifling business climate, tax structure, and regulatory climate, it's government policies that aren't strict enough in dealing with "greedy" corporations, investors, and the wealthy. They proclaim that we need more, not less, government regulation, ignoring the problems their beloved socialist European governments are grappling with right now. Think the issue of youth underemployment is bad here? How about a 25% youth unemployment rate in places like Spain or Italy? Just as we cannot fathom why anyone would support The She Beast, they can't comprehend why anyone would support Trump. And while he's brash, our concern is based on our real world experiences and an understanding of how these things work in the real world, and we support the candidate who understands this. Liberals, while they are also going through the same things, aren't truly looking behind the scenes to understand what's actually going on. They prefer their unproven and oftentimes disproven policies, refusing to abandon them when it's proven that those policies are dangerously unworkable. Obamacare anyone? Haven't heard too much from the liberals on that one, probably because they're getting burned too and refuse to admit that they were wrong. Since this administration (and groups it endorses) has encouraged the amping up of open hatred toward white males, white privilege, white people cancer, white people oppressors, and the police...who wouldn't feel the need for self defense against an angry mob or civil unrest?
