Presidential polling: Just saying they're even is ignoring the trend

The corporate media and their willing little pollsters know it is good business to keep calling it too close to call and then billing for even more polls. Trump is doing campaign stops in New York and California. Do you think his internal polling, the more expensive kind, is telling him he is tied or behind? Trump already engages with liberal media, all the time. Kamala agrees to go on Fox for 25 minutes, then shows up 15 minutes late. Her handlers stand off camera tapping their watches and making circles with their fingers to the producers, meaning "wrap it up". Harris leads in most of the spam polling, and yet they are discussed by the media in worried tones while wringing their hands. If 9 of 11 national polls had Trump up by +3 they would be calling the fight now. His campaign knows, the non partisan insiders know, and Vegas knows. -
"I'm going to loan you 6.5 million dollars to get you out of this legal mess Hunter. No need for any agreements or contracts, just take the money and give me one of those paintings, or two."

There are plenty of illegalities that Biden the Younger could have been charged with. No, this one isn't a strong case and if he evades conviction, it spreads the idea that this was the best they had, and lost. Some of it might be intentional, I don't know. If Trump doesn't go 4 for 4 in his trials, he'll at least run out the clock, and we see the results right now of his rise in the polls and public perception. Democrats right now are wondering how their people could have screwed up a simple hanging and a win for Biden; well, there is plenty to second guess with the cases against Hunter.

If Illinois currently had gun rights similar to free states, the anti gun zealots would be pointing to Chicago and screaming about all of the shootings and homicides. But since gun rights are very restrictive, the leadership in Chicago prefers a "nothing to see here so move along and if there is something wrong it is someone else's fault " mentality.

A quote from the article- "Cabello is now hoping that House Speaker Michael Madigan will assign this bill to a committee for discussion, but admits that it's a long shot at this point."

The mantra is that they are understaffed, under budgeted and overwhelmed. The truth is that the majority of our tax dollars designated for this program have been arm swept off the table for other projects, the understaffing might have been alleviated a bit if the boss wasn't having blatant affairs during office time and long lunch hours with staff. 4 months isn't uncommon.

DC/East Coast elites have been landing in Virginia for a while now; long enough that they gained control of the legislature, so, someone voted them in. These anti gunners don't like being called out so strongly, as they don't like having to come out of the shadows when they have done so well subtly boiling the frog, so to speak. I expect they will try to keep this silent asap because they do not want a very public litmus test of such a large scale civil disobedience pushback. The media of course, well....

FOID/FCCL to be cancelled with move out of state
GTX63 replied to TRJ's topic in Illinois Right to Keep and Carry
Same with me in Tennessee. They don’t care. My oldest son got his Illinois dL suspended for getting two speeding tickets in a year. Applied in Tennessee and they said they didn’t care and issued a new one. Might be a yankee thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Went to the Tennessee DMV for a new driver's license last week. They hand out gun permit apps while you wait. -
From the list above, Fishman's was a mom and pop who in recent years only kept hours several days per week. During the ammo famine of the previous administration, they were one of the only stores I was able to track down and purchase decent amounts of .22 caliber. I completely understand why they have seen it easier to pull the plug than continue to pay overhead for likely less than minimum wage. The Birds N Brooks is also a long, long time business that I recall going in as a boy as begging for goodies from the military surplus section. Sad to see and just another sign of the Illinois times. Nobody is congress give two hoots about either of those places.

FOID Renewal BS
GTX63 replied to ITguy1686's topic in Illinois FOID Application, Renewal & Appeal Process
Il state legislature just appropriated another $17,500 to the ISP FOID division for computers, software, telephones, coffee machine, mini fridge and hotplate, a golfcart, as well as a new position for answering phones and diagnosing IT issues. They believe this should resolve all current ISP processing matter. An additional position is being lobbied for fiscal year 2020 that would include responding to phone calls after the initial "Hello ISP FOID Division" as well as someone who can repair software glitches after the diagnosis. Purple on for those who aren't sure.
