DoverGunner Posted December 12, 2015 at 02:35 AM Posted December 12, 2015 at 02:35 AM Considering many democrats have straight up called NRA members Terrorists this should be a proverbial call to arms for all Illinois Gun Owners. He has nailed it GuysTime to pull your head and Tuckus from the sand and start fighting for our rights
DoverGunner Posted December 12, 2015 at 02:36 AM Posted December 12, 2015 at 02:36 AM Too bad someone can't introduce a bill that states any legislator that votes for a law that is later proven to be unconstitutional, will be banned from holding any future political offices after the end of their present term. Finally start holding them responsible for their actions and maybe they'll start supporting the rights of the People, vs the Agenda of their Political Party. Laws are written by Liars for liars ( lawyers) nice thinking but never ever going to happen
DoverGunner Posted December 12, 2015 at 02:38 AM Posted December 12, 2015 at 02:38 AM Every crisis is a precedent for statists to scare the people into giving up more of their liberties in exchange for the false promise of security. Defeating this bill will be a great human rights victory but the bill's opponents will be demonized as gun-toting crazies who selfishly care more about their gun fetish than they care about the safety of their fellow citizens.nothing new there is There ???

Tango7 Posted December 12, 2015 at 03:10 AM Posted December 12, 2015 at 03:10 AM Need to fake up a WANTED poster like I did for the Colorado mag ban folks for denial of rights under color of authority.
Blade13 Posted December 12, 2015 at 03:27 AM Posted December 12, 2015 at 03:27 AM I just sat down and hand wrote a letter to my Rep. about this. I know a lot of people would rather call or just email them from their contact box on their website, but old time letters i think make it more personal. I even got a written response back last time i wrote him. Hopefully this can be shut down quick. It already has 14 co-sponsors.

Lenny42 Posted December 12, 2015 at 08:53 PM Posted December 12, 2015 at 08:53 PM One would think that they would start off small, with like gangs, drug dealers and such. You know, the people who do the most damage. But wait, those people wouldn't have a FOID card.

POAT54 Posted December 12, 2015 at 09:05 PM Posted December 12, 2015 at 09:05 PM I will ask this and then go take 2x BP meds. Why is B&B suddenly on about the no fly list? Which of the mass shooters (including chiraq bangers) on or were on the "no fly" list? I know too secret to tell us common folks.

Which of the mass shooters (including chiraq bangers) on or were on the "no fly" list? I know too secret to tell us common folks. It's a target of opportunity. If you look at Diane Feinstein's federal "no fly no guns" bill she introduced it way back in February. There's probably been a version of it in previous congresses as well, they just had to wait for a terrorist attack for them to be able to get traction on the bill. TRJ Posted December 13, 2015 at 02:18 PM Posted December 13, 2015 at 02:18 PM On a bill like this how do the downstate demo vote? Is there any reasonable chance of this passing or is this just for Madigan politics so they can send flyers at election time that say Rep. X VOTED DOWN A BILL TO KEEP GUNS AWAY FROM SUSPECTED TERRORISTS?
TomKoz Posted December 13, 2015 at 03:15 PM Posted December 13, 2015 at 03:15 PM ^^ How did downstate Dems vote for Obamacare? hint: Party over principle for them !!
mauserme Posted December 13, 2015 at 03:16 PM Author Posted December 13, 2015 at 03:16 PM On a bill like this how do the downstate demo vote? Is there any reasonable chance of this passing or is this just for Madigan politics so they can send flyers at election time that say Rep. X VOTED DOWN A BILL TO KEEP GUNS AWAY FROM SUSPECTED TERRORISTS? The part of the bill addressing FOID cards already revoked under existing law is, I think, a reaction to a Suntimes article. But that's the point - law already exists to address that and it was simply a matter of it being more uniformly enforced, which it is and has been for many months. There's no need to try to put administrative rules into statute. The viability of the terrorism watch list section will probably depend heavily on Governor Malloy's ability to access the secret list, and to get Congress to fund that if it requires additional funding. Once those hurdles are addressed, Representative Harris can then consider the support for his bill that I think may be harder than some envision.
GWBH Posted December 21, 2015 at 05:13 PM Posted December 21, 2015 at 05:13 PM Any movement on this mess??
