I could be wrong…  but after reading the Bloomington PD FB post, it sounds like the offender may have been a felon, illegally possessing a firearm, and was apprehended after an attempted crime during which he brandished the firearm, later ditching the firearm while attempting to avoid being caught. I think this happens all the time. Given all that stuff, I don’t imagine it matters much that he may have had a firearm prohibited under PICA. 

 

Have you seen any news coverage, local newspapers or local television which adds clarity?
