Are any of those running for Chicago mayor even moderately supportive of the 2nd Amendment?

I often disparage the voters of big cities, including Chicago, for continuously electing and re-electing politicians who both coddle criminals and try to restrict the ability of citizens to defend themselves against those criminals. But sometimes it seems that the system gives the voters little choice in the matter. Republicans don't even seem to try to run for this office. Willie Brown has at least vowed to get tough on criminals, but I have no idea where he stands on gun rights. If a pro-2A voter is going to the polls, who can he support? Who is even the lesser of evils? Regardless, I predict the Evil Dwarf will remain as the Mayor.

The Marxicrat party has a well oiled machine in Illinois.

It is a tank.  It rolls over RINOpublicans easily.

The Illinois RINOpublican party is a decoration.

And that's on a good day.

Ron DeSantis level balls are necessary to oppose the Marxicrats.

And sufficient resources.

They don't have this.

When I lived in Cook County elections for offices like state rep, state senator, mayor, village trustee, etc were more often than not uncontested. Even US representative might as well have been, the republican candidate typically received little to no support or funding from the party and basically just there because no one else wanted their name on the ballot.

Willie Wilson, Chuy Garcia and Paul Valas are the contenders for my vote this election. Haven't opened my mail-in ballot as yet so...... "undecided".

Ultimately I think Chuy will do time, Paul's problem is he's white he will be DOA if elected, Willie well again his idea are flat out nuts.

Valas is the only logical choice in my opinion. He's the only one that has been openly critical of Beetlejuice and will be tough on crime.

Paul Vallas' recent ad also mentioned that he intends to enforce the AWB signed by Gov. Pritzker.

Lightfoot is calling Vallas a republican so take that for what it is worth. I haven't seen any pro-gun statements come from his camp. But to be honest, beetlejuice was openly gun-neutral when she ran her campaign so we are once again reminded that actions speak louder than words. I truly think beetlejuice wanted to be change and wanted to be different but couldn't stand up to the establishment and fell into the role of more of the same.

Yeah he’s the best of the lot, but still supports the AWB and whatever gun control the IL dems want. That said, he is the best choice out of all the goofballs running that have a shot

I personally don't think that anyone pro gun will ever stand a chance of becoming the mayor of Chicago. Anti gun sentiment is too deeply rooted in Chicago for it to happen.

I left that dumpster fire 18 months ago for McHenry County and can't help but laugh about how stupid it's become. The sad thing is that almost all of my neighbors were pro gun and pro ccl but they still support these zealots that believe that guns are good for me but not for thee. Chicago will have to burn before any meaningful change happens.
