richp Posted August 3, 2018 at 07:37 PM Share Posted August 3, 2018 at 07:37 PM Hi, Another way the opposition is squeezing. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/nra-financial-trouble-706371/ This may have some element of strategic posturing in it, but the embedded threat is real. markthesignguy Posted August 3, 2018 at 08:12 PM Share Posted August 3, 2018 at 08:12 PM The state of New York is setting itself up for one huge judgement against itself. Gonna leave some heads spinning (and sink some careers) in the aftermath.

chicagoresident Posted August 3, 2018 at 09:59 PM Share Posted August 3, 2018 at 09:59 PM They've been on the edge of bankruptcy for years now, this is nothing new. More then a conspiracy I think they need to look at their overpaid talking heads, PR firms, and their campaign contributions to backstabbing RHINO's.https://www.ammoland.com/2018/01/are-we-revising-nra-history/#axzz5N9fsYOLI Let the manufacturer and dealers' lobby fight the fight in the legislature, the judicial system offers a lot more bang for the buck and cheaper more positive publicity. Rather then spreading small contributions to a bunch of RHINO's they need to look at records and only donate to the most staunch 2nd ammendment politicians in areas the 2nd is threatened the most. They did away with the rating system because it was BS, RHINO's with A+ ratings turncoated in the slightest adversity. It wasn't because of pressure from the anti's. Think about it, does an NRA member want to hear the NRA fight about bump stocks skirting NFA? Or would the members rather hear about getting an ordinance overthrown, a gun law ruled unconstitutional, or freeing a poor disenfranchised member who spends the greatest ratio of income on a membership because they deeply believe the NRA will defend their 2nd ammendment. It would also make it a lot harder for the left to attack the NRA if they turn into the ACLU for gun rights. They'd actually expand memberships this way. soundguy Posted August 5, 2018 at 03:18 AM Share Posted August 5, 2018 at 03:18 AM Isn't that rag all about satire? No. Highly respected journalists... except when a young woman made up a story (about campus rape???) a couple years ago. RS was counter culture in it's beginnings, writing about things no one else covered.

Definitely bottom of my list for long form journalism.
