vito Posted November 21, 2022 at 09:57 PM Share Posted November 21, 2022 at 09:57 PM I just received the new FOID card with the CCL indicated on the card. But I notice that there is no expiration date listed on the card. Interesting.

elbow4074 Posted December 13, 2022 at 04:18 AM Share Posted December 13, 2022 at 04:18 AM I have one too. I've only had one employee bat an eye at it. I offered to look up the expiration date, they said not to worry about it and entered "no expiration" on their end.
John Q Public Posted December 13, 2022 at 06:35 AM Share Posted December 13, 2022 at 06:35 AM After thinking on it, the only good thing is it won't show expired, on the card, while waiting for your new one. That's the only thing I can see is good for us.
ragsbo Posted December 13, 2022 at 05:46 PM Share Posted December 13, 2022 at 05:46 PM We got ours too. Does anyone else wonder if the state is trying to get the foid so muddled up with the ccl that when the foid gets ruled unconstitutional that it will be hard to divide the 2 and cause even more troubles???? Seems like everything they do is to make things more complicated and more confusing and to take more and more freedom away. I think there is nefarious motives behind it all. elbow4074 Posted December 15, 2022 at 04:13 PM Share Posted December 15, 2022 at 04:13 PM I'd hope that if that's the case, having them too muddled up together forces them to hit pause and reconsider the whole package... but I can dream.

They both should be ruled unconstitional, easier to do if they are muddled up especially if they can't sever the two forcing both to fall at once. papa Posted December 18, 2022 at 03:11 PM Share Posted December 18, 2022 at 03:11 PM I got my new combined card in the mail yesterday. Plumb stupid. Just what I expect out of this state.
RandyP Posted December 19, 2022 at 02:58 PM Share Posted December 19, 2022 at 02:58 PM A gun shop clerk with whom I recently spoke about it was convinced it's a way for 'government thems' to be able to track ammo sales since they'll have to be called in to check FOID status. I have not seen the statute that mandates the foid be verified by calling in the digital e-card. If a shop still insist on calling in they lose my business. Too many good deals out of state. Nor have I seen where a validation number is required for ammo sales. One can not get a more current validation then pulling up on one's phone their e-card on their ISP deck page. Odinson Posted December 19, 2022 at 04:38 PM Share Posted December 19, 2022 at 04:38 PM Natchez accepted my combined card. I entered the expiry date from the ISP webpage.
RandyP Posted December 19, 2022 at 05:15 PM Share Posted December 19, 2022 at 05:15 PM I am uncertain of what a future ammo sale will look like - in the past would a store acept an expired FOID? I'm pretty sure they would not. With the new card they quickest way to know if it is expired would be to call it in? Like I said, I dunno.
