mrpapageorgio Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:26 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:26 AM Is it in third reading? Or is this just on the amendments?
Molly B. Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:29 AM Author Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:29 AM A final amendment is in the works - it should be a clean bill.
OneLastRound Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:31 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:31 AM Done. I wrote and left a voice message. I have a liberal first term representative who is trying to impress Madigan. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

vess1 Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:52 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:52 AM Great news. Im not going to call our guys cause theyre a solid yes vote. After people have established themselves as solid yes votes for us time and time again, I think it would be best to not harass these people anymore. I think its in our best interest to not get to the point of annoying someone unless they need to be swayed to our side. You guys know who they are. Sent from my Motorola Electrify using Tapatalk 2
ilphil Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:53 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:53 AM My rep has already signed-on as a co-sponsor, so I just sent her a short email thanking her for her support. Tomorrow should be a very interesting day...

vstar Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:53 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:53 AM This is our time! This time tomorrow we'll be celebrating.
divemaster03 Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:55 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:55 AM my rep is John Cabello in machesney park, and he is a co sponsor of 997,so that is a solid yes. I feel for the citizens of rockford, their rep is worthless chuck jefferson. I would not count on him to do the right thing and support 997.
TTIN Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:55 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:55 AM A final amendment is in the works - it should be a clean bill.So we are gonna get rid of that awful amendment? (forget which one)
spu69 Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:57 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 12:57 AM What time does the show start tomorrow?
+P+ Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:01 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:01 AM My rep is solid (Fortner). I sent him an email thanking him for his NO vote on 831 today and told him he has my support tommorrow. This is what we've been waiting for. "They can take our lives, but they'll never take....OUR FREEDOM!!!" Oh wait, they did that already. We're just going to take it back. ROCK ON!
BShawn Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:06 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:06 AM What time does the show start tomorrow? I read somewhere on here 12 noon (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)
Retiredguns Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:06 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:06 AM Rockford area - I think Dave Winters ® is OK, but Chuck Jefferson (D) got a respectful, honest but direct request to vote yes on HB997.
mrpapageorgio Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:10 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:10 AM Can anyone do me a favor and PM me if/when a vote happens? I'll be in class until 5 so checking PM's will be easier than the whole forum and going through posts.

blazzinbird Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:13 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:13 AM Non of the amendments have been voted on. So we have to vote all the amendments down
spu69 Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:13 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:13 AM I read somewhere on here 12 noon (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) Thanks! I will be able to listen then!
lockman Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:15 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:15 AM Has any pro carry language been removed in the final amendment?
DoktorPaimon Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:15 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:15 AM Called all my friends, passed it around on Facebook. I'll call my rep in the morning, but its Cassidy so...
tmh Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:16 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:16 AM There are 8 amendments iirc and I do remember that all of the amendments but one were totally objectionable to me personally. Does it need to be made clear to our reps that we support the original bill but none of the existing (8?) amendments? Or will telling them to vote yes on the bill be sure to have them voting yes for the original bill and for sure not the amendments?
KarlJ Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:16 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:16 AM There are 8 amendmentsDidn't read through all of them yet but so far 1&2 are bad http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/fulltext.asp?DocName=09800HB0997ham001&GA=98&SessionId=85&DocTypeId=HB&LegID=71413&DocNum=997&GAID=12&Session=
KarlJ Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:21 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:21 AM Amendment 7 by Barbara Flynn Currie has 20hrs class room and 20hrs range time!! 8 by Lou Lang allows home rule
jackinelgin Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:21 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:21 AM Done-Farnham... A yes vote tomorrow would be awesome seeing as it's also my birthday.
Retiredguns Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:25 AM Posted April 18, 2013 at 01:25 AM Amendment 7 by Barbara Flynn Currie has 20hrs class room and 20hrs range time!! That's insane. Do we at least get college credit and a tax write-off for that much time & money? One .22 round an hour might be affordable.
