Todd Vandermyde for NRA Board of Directors
spu69 replied to Tvandermyde's topic in Illinois Politics
petitions sent for you both Friday 8-30, got a page of each from my IDPA match. -
My FOID expires 12-1-21, I renewed 9-1-21 and it went active 9-2-21. Have not yet received it in the mail, but that seems fast. Maybe they are trying g to clear the backlog.

FOID Active, Lost in the mail

I have had that informed delivery show a mail piece and then it shows up a day late. Keep your eye out. It’ll show up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
New to IL - FOID Card application
spu69 replied to Lumfam03's topic in Illinois FOID Application, Renewal & Appeal Process
put same as what is on you DL, same spacing and everything. -
New applications must be processed in 30 days. "Renewal applications shall be approved or denied within 60 business days" 16 year old daughter's FOID applied 4-2-19, so 60 business days translates to 12 weeks, or 84 calendar days roughly depending on when the weekends fall. 85 days today, and still under review. Ridiculous. ETA: Nobody answers the phone at the FOID number. Just emailed my rep for assistance.

My license was in my mail today!
spu69 replied to Paints-n-cows's topic in Illinois Concealed Carry Licensing Process
It seems as though applications submitted without prints are taking around 100 days to go "active," assuming no objections, board review, etc. And no information edits. If you go back and change info, it resets the clock. -

There is no rhyme or reason. I decided to just take a big deep breath, check my app once a day, and wait. -
Out of state applicants

Are you from Hawaii? Oops. Didn't see full text. Bravo. -
I agree with this interpretation. However, it is going to take someone winning in court to stop Some LEOs from arresting and prosecutors from charging. Sadly, this will take awhile. I sincerely believe that many prosecutors have seen the writing on the wall and will charge another offense that is related, like the catch all Disorderly Conduct, or not charge at all.

Woollard v. Gallagher
spu69 replied to skinnyb82's topic in Judicial Second Amendment Case Discussion
short answer, this case may decide constitutionality of New York style "may issue CCW" if all the stars align and we hold our mouths right.
