Johnson689 Posted April 26, 2014 at 06:18 PM Author Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 06:18 PM So I'm new here. The jimmy johns by me has the dreaded sign on the door.. I asked about it and was informed that the manger put that up himself, and an employee said that I could still carry inside. Obviously that's not legal. the other jimmy johns aren't listed/posted as far as I can tell They didn't have the managers info on hand, so I said I'll be calling corporate. Want your guys help with this! Kev

Mark Brody Posted April 26, 2014 at 06:25 PM Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 06:25 PM That's what you get with a franchise. I'll gladly go to any Jimmy John's that isn't posted. No reason to hold those managers accountable for something they didn't do.
kwc Posted April 26, 2014 at 06:34 PM Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 06:34 PM Two near us are not posted (Southern IL). Love 'em... Great food!
xd9subcompact Posted April 26, 2014 at 06:34 PM Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 06:34 PM I doubt it's a company owned store. Each owner can set these policies if they want. The store owner in this instance must like to turn away cash customers.

bobapunk Posted April 26, 2014 at 07:20 PM Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 07:20 PM JJ's are franchises, so it's not likely a corporate issue. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Jen-in-Normal Posted April 26, 2014 at 08:39 PM Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 08:39 PM I know so done who works for JJ (corporate) and it is definitely a franchisee decision. There are two here that Re posted, and I'm guessing they all are since they. Are probably all owned by the same franchisee.
lockman Posted April 26, 2014 at 09:44 PM Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 09:44 PM It would be ironic if it one of the locations that post the rules that state, " you must give up your seat to pregnant women and persons carrying firearms".

borgranta Posted April 26, 2014 at 10:38 PM Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 10:38 PM You might want to tell the corporate or a manager there that an employee is encouraging illegally carrying inside.

borgranta Posted April 26, 2014 at 11:17 PM Share Posted April 26, 2014 at 11:17 PM I asked about it and was informed that the manger put that up himself, and an employee said that I could still carry inside. Obviously that's not legal. I would be concerned that this employee will confuse an already confused carrier and cause that carrier to potentially be victimized by the penalties. billzfx4 Posted April 27, 2014 at 02:32 PM Share Posted April 27, 2014 at 02:32 PM It seems like there are enough of us in the area that if we start dropping off NGNM cards, it may open up the manager's eyes.
