ragsbo Posted June 17, 2021 at 09:33 PM Posted June 17, 2021 at 09:33 PM Both my wife and dad filed for their foid renewal on Saturday June 05. They both received their new cards in the mail today Thursday June 17. The cards are dated June 9. They both lost 2 months (their old cards expired in August but we decided to get the ball rolling since it was taking for ever and wanted to get them in before any new stupid requirements were stuck on us).
Bubbacs Posted June 17, 2021 at 10:31 PM Posted June 17, 2021 at 10:31 PM Who here wouldn’t give up two months on a $10.00 card for a 12 day turn around? The forums are full of 6 to 12 month waits.......
POAT54 Posted June 18, 2021 at 12:26 AM Posted June 18, 2021 at 12:26 AM I renewed my FOID June 5th, 2021. I was just hoping to get it by next year. It arrived in the mail today.
Rmac702 Posted June 20, 2021 at 03:28 PM Posted June 20, 2021 at 03:28 PM I talked to a friend of mine yesterday, and he told me his FOID renewal, that he just did, was completed in 10 days. Before he applied for renewal, I told him it might take at least 6 months or more. He probably thinks I'm an idiot.
Daffy Posted June 21, 2021 at 07:14 PM Posted June 21, 2021 at 07:14 PM Better half renewed 5/6/2021, still under review.
Marie Posted June 21, 2021 at 11:16 PM Posted June 21, 2021 at 11:16 PM I renewed my FOID on 6/7. It expires in September. I just got my new FOID today. It was dated 6/11. Don’t know if it makes a difference, but I had provided my fingerprints when I got my CCL in 2014.
ragsbo Posted June 21, 2021 at 11:46 PM Author Posted June 21, 2021 at 11:46 PM We did NOT do fingerprints for CCL
JimL2021 Posted June 22, 2021 at 07:15 PM Posted June 22, 2021 at 07:15 PM As posted in another thread, I'm at 504 days since renewal (2/4/2020), status still shows "Under Review".
John Q Public Posted June 22, 2021 at 07:20 PM Posted June 22, 2021 at 07:20 PM This is for real, I had several students getting them back in just a couple weeks. I'm betting this is a rush on all the new ones, so they can say they have fixed the long delays when it goes to court.

Seems a bit excessive, doesn't it? Seems more like "broken system".
