vk60187 Posted May 15, 2021 at 11:39 PM Posted May 15, 2021 at 11:39 PM What do you guys do about sweat drenched guns? Hard to sweat in today's weather but what happens if you carry in 90F+ weather and high humidity? What's the best practice to take care of Glock and all metal CZ-75SP01?
cope Posted May 15, 2021 at 11:53 PM Posted May 15, 2021 at 11:53 PM I only use holsters with sweat guards during the summer
soundguy Posted May 16, 2021 at 12:37 AM Posted May 16, 2021 at 12:37 AM What Cope said. OWB holsters are more comfy for me and reduce contact with skin. Other than that, wipe them clean at the end of each day... protective oil as needed on the metal surfaces. A nightly field strip and inspection/cleaning is not a bad idea. Mine (High Power/Sig P238/CZ P01) has never really been sweaty from carry. Perhaps its due to the OWB holster. As to the Glock... I cant say but generally the same Id guess. Ill never know about a Glock!

Smallbore Posted May 16, 2021 at 01:19 PM Posted May 16, 2021 at 01:19 PM My opinion is to clean your gun before it needs it.
notatreehugger Posted May 17, 2021 at 01:14 AM Posted May 17, 2021 at 01:14 AM Ive found some that if I use silicone during the sweaty months I see less corrosion. Either use silicone rags or a silicone spray onto a towel before applying. This can also reduce holster wear if youre carrying in a plastic holster.
Jeffrey Posted May 17, 2021 at 02:20 PM Posted May 17, 2021 at 02:20 PM Pshh all this talk about cleaning guns n stuff.. Just rinse it with a little water and you should be good.
