Colt guy Posted January 19, 2014 at 07:29 PM Posted January 19, 2014 at 07:29 PM Looks like Kotowski has nothing better to do.
mauserme Posted January 19, 2014 at 07:58 PM Author Posted January 19, 2014 at 07:58 PM When does the Spring session begin? The first floor sessions are scheduled for 1/29/2014 in both houses. Committees will start a bit before then.
Tango7 Posted January 19, 2014 at 11:05 PM Posted January 19, 2014 at 11:05 PM Looks like Kotowski has nothing better to do. At least with Munoz it's one of his annual boilerplate bills he throws up every session. Don't even need to open it to bet it's got an exemption for LE like he claims he was for his whopping 6 months in a car with the remainder of his "service" on special duty or legislative assignment... Wonder if he has a IROCC card.
Sigma Posted January 19, 2014 at 11:22 PM Posted January 19, 2014 at 11:22 PM There are members who thought the fight would be over once we get concealed carry on the books.
Elderberry Posted January 19, 2014 at 11:24 PM Posted January 19, 2014 at 11:24 PM The only thing that changes is each year we fight from a little stronger position... Keep on keeping on...

Wonder if he has a IROCC card. +1, that's what I thought too when I saw it. kill it with fire maybe they think they can get it through now that we don't have the court ordered deadline... or maybe they think they can slip it through before carriers get out there and try the 'wild west' thing. and god forbid some shooting incident happens during this time...
domin8 Posted January 20, 2014 at 07:28 AM Posted January 20, 2014 at 07:28 AM HB3650 is not a good bill, imo. It has that "substantially similar laws" BS the FCCA has. However, I do like that it doesn't have anything that states the permits approved must be from that residents home state.
mauserme Posted January 20, 2014 at 12:10 PM Author Posted January 20, 2014 at 12:10 PM HB3650 is not a good bill, imo. It has that "substantially similar laws" BS the FCCA has. However, I do like that it doesn't have anything that states the permits approved must be from that residents home state. There is a difference though, in that this bill specifies that the intent is substantially similar training and then goes on to name some states the "Department shall enter into a reciprocal agreement with..."
domin8 Posted January 20, 2014 at 01:36 PM Posted January 20, 2014 at 01:36 PM Imo, it doesn't cover "substantially similar" properly. Substantially similar just needs to be removed from the FCCA and other amendatory legislation because it is being used to, imo, unlawfully discriminate. Where's that bill?
mauserme Posted January 20, 2014 at 02:54 PM Author Posted January 20, 2014 at 02:54 PM Imo, it doesn't cover "substantially similar" properly. Substantially similar just needs to be removed from the FCCA and other amendatory legislation because it is being used to, imo, unlawfully discriminate. Where's that bill? We would have to see the specific wording, of course, but if that bill is filed it's certainly a concept we would wholeheartedly support.

Marie Posted January 27, 2014 at 06:19 PM Posted January 27, 2014 at 06:19 PM Truck stops?! I always go to truck stops when I'm driving long distances.as.they're safer than a rest stop.

NakPPI Posted January 27, 2014 at 07:54 PM Posted January 27, 2014 at 07:54 PM Got a chest thumping email from Drury asking everyone to ask business to post and pimping this bill. Such a worthless piece of human garbage. Are people in Highland Park really worried about random people carrying in their residence? I mean really they're going to call the cops on someone they invited into their own home? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

He just sent out an email blast to everyone recommending that they put No Gun stickers on their individual homes. That should make it very easy for the criminals to decide what homes to hit first.
