XD45 Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:10 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:10 AM Topic says it all guys. This was reported on local news channel 20 in the capitol.
BobPistol Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:20 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:20 AM DO NOT PANIC. The national media will continue their blackout.
snooter Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:23 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:23 AM i figured wics would have said 1000 tops...no more mention of this and it is not to be discussed now on to why you have no right to defend yourself
cshipley92 Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:26 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:26 AM DO NOT PANIC. The national media will continue their blackout. Of course not. There were no shootings, no one was arrested, nothing "exciting" happened. Local news seems to be giving it some air time though.
ilphil Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:34 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:34 AM Chicago Tribune is still pretending it didn't happen...what a surprise.
Talonap Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:39 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 12:39 AM No "Real" media coverage because Madigan didn't get a paper cut on his finger.

Longhornjeff Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:25 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:25 AM Hundreds of gun owners and supporters gathered on the lawn of the Capitol for a brief rally during the annual Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day in Springfield on Wednesday. http://www.sj-r.com/...20378/Gun-Rally
capnbill Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:30 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:30 AM Hundreds of gun owners and supporters gathered on the lawn of the Capitol for a brief rally during the annual Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day in Springfield on Wednesday. http://www.sj-r.com/...20378/Gun-Rally "Hundreds"????? They need to work on their math skills!
Lou Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:43 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:43 AM Of course it's hundreds - about 80 hundreds,
azone5 Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:47 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:47 AM Good photos in the Tribune. Surprises me...
soundguy Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:56 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:56 AM DO NOT PANIC. The national media will continue their blackout. I wish it was, but IGOLD is not a national story and probably never will be. If 200,000 Illinois gun owners had marched to the capitol today, it might have gotten a mention on national morning news tomorrow... Possibly, IL passing or not passing a CCW bill will become a national story as the June deadline approaches. My heartfelt thanks to the 8000 plus who were there today.
Lou Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:59 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 01:59 AM Chicago Tribune has posted pictures. http://galleries.app...y-day-pictures/ Perez was standing next to me on the overpass.
Lou Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:02 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:02 AM http://kplr11.com/20...-and-carry-law/ 2-4000? I guess tht's better than "hundreds"
C0untZer0 Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:10 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:10 AM My daughter is very excited to have her picture in the Chicago Trubune
C0untZer0 Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:19 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:19 AM The packets show up in the photos as gold/yellow - that was smart
TyGuy Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:45 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:45 AM 8,000? Peshaw, there were more than that.
Kerwin Law Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:58 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 02:58 AM When I was helping hand out the packets, there was a good percentage of first time attendees. Gotta love that !
Xwing Posted March 7, 2013 at 03:07 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 03:07 AM 8000. Is that official #? I was trying to gauge the turnout this year vs. last year. I was guessing 5000-7000. Would like to hear the correct #. The fact that at least 5 busses canceled at the last second didn't help. If we got 8k even with the weather in Northern Illinois, that was really good!!!
Elderberry Posted March 7, 2013 at 03:24 AM Posted March 7, 2013 at 03:24 AM I think what they were trying to say was there were hundreds left standing on the capitol lawn after the other 7,000++ filled the capitol building to the point that no one else would fit inside....
