RECarry Posted July 4, 2021 at 02:29 PM Posted July 4, 2021 at 02:29 PM 11/24/21 Update for CCL renewal with prints now Active: 300 days from payment submitted on Jan 28, 2021 and 235 days from submitting class certificate on 4/3/21. Three separate inquiries were made through our Democrat Representative's office to keep them informed of the backlog and the $30 million in FOID/CCL fees that were taken from the ISP. Not much care or concern on their part.
Tod Posted July 5, 2021 at 01:28 PM Posted July 5, 2021 at 01:28 PM Renewed CCL on July 16th, 2020. Prints already on file. Not so much as a speeding ticket since original CCL issue date. 354 days waiting, Under Review. So thankful I live in a state where state employees can take their sweet time to keep from doing their job. Thinking about delaying paying my state taxes a similar amount of time. The state would understand.
Rabble Posted July 6, 2021 at 02:53 PM Posted July 6, 2021 at 02:53 PM Applied electronically for renewal on March 16, 2020. No fingerprints. Received card on June 16, 2021. 15 months.
Bitter Clinger Posted July 6, 2021 at 04:15 PM Posted July 6, 2021 at 04:15 PM The more people I hear about finally getting their CCL's, it looks like 15 to 16 months is the average number, or about 500 days. That's about as long as it took to get mine too.

Somejaykid Posted July 11, 2021 at 05:08 PM Posted July 11, 2021 at 05:08 PM my conceal carry license is going to expired 07/13/2021 I renewed my license 03/24/2021, I check the Illinois website and I'm still "under review" aaarrrggghhhhhhhh. quick question if my license expired I cannot carry my firearm on me until the state renew correct?. and what does it mean by the "expiration" "covid-19"?
Molly B. Posted July 11, 2021 at 07:28 PM Posted July 11, 2021 at 07:28 PM It means the ccl does not expire until 18 months after the covid 19 emergency order is lifted. Gov has not lifted.
Somejaykid Posted July 11, 2021 at 09:34 PM Posted July 11, 2021 at 09:34 PM so my understanding is, I'm still good carrying my firearm even though my license is about to expired?

Konyo312 Posted July 21, 2021 at 07:35 PM Posted July 21, 2021 at 07:35 PM Submitted my CCL renewal 1/19/21 with training without prints. CCL expiration date 4/19/21 I see the COVID-19 expiration extension means it’s still valid. My question is whether that extension is valid in states that recognize Illinois CCL? If you’re stopped, they would see an expired CCL. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Campos_12 Posted July 23, 2021 at 02:10 AM Posted July 23, 2021 at 02:10 AM Greetings! I'm currently at day 120 with no prints at Cook County. At how many days should I take action (sending my state rep an email) and what should I include in the email? Thank you! With 2 full days into 2021 I'd first read the above linked 2020 thread.I there you will find some official posts about the current wait times and etc.You can also find ways and directions to contact state Reps/Senators etc. And the base of e-mails within.Great information on the backlog now being experienced due to the covid, lack of money, lack of personnel etc.Start you great year off with a bang and get some reading in, as we all know reading is the pillar of personal growth. ok i dont know if its a stupid question, but how do i contact my state rep?
Campos_12 Posted July 23, 2021 at 02:33 AM Posted July 23, 2021 at 02:33 AM i think im going to give up on having my CCL, been over a year now waiting and waiting and still comes up as under review, even went out and did a new ccl class and got finger prints done, any help from anyone would be very much appreciated.
TJS11415 Posted July 23, 2021 at 02:52 AM Posted July 23, 2021 at 02:52 AM Remember that once the renewal has been submitted that your cards are STILL VALID. . Is this true? Even if your FOID expires? #confused
