  1. Thanks! Then I will continue to submit them...
  2. This is a great link! go to https://www.illinoispolicy.org/maps/ and click on IL House or Senate, and in the subsequent map click on your district... your elected reps pop right up.
  3. They aren’t interested in doing anything about it. Chicago is a gleaming example of it. Not to digress and switch cities... but Re: Chicago... I touched on it somewhere... IL States Attorney Kim Foxx tosses out cases left and right. Crimes where there have been 'multiple' charges including a gun charge, she'll get rid fo the gun charge. Here is an article stating she's dismissed more than 25,000 felony cases in her first 3 years! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8612317/Cook-County-prosecutor-Kim-Foxx-dismissed-25-000-felony-cases-including-Jussie-Smollett.html. Is this a racial thing? (to lighten the population of black criminals in jail) not sure. but to get back to the reply, you'd think Dems, and the people of Chicago, including the south side (where most of this is happening) would be tired of it... and REGRET electing Kim Foxx... and the mayor... and same sentiment over to NY with DiBlasio... AT SOME POINT, Dem citizens, have to be sick of the crime... and smart enough to blame the right person.(s)
  4. Thanks to all, I think it's time for me to hit the reset button until I decide reloading is right for me.
  5. I should point out that when I applied for my renewal, I was presented with a page that said my current foid card would be valid until my new card arrived. I did print out that page an put it in my glove box, incase I was going to the range and was pulled over with an expired card. But like others have said, I don't know that anyone would accept that as a valid documentation to allow me to purchase ammo, shoot at the range, or purchase a firearm. Fortunately, I received my new card before it actually expired.
  6. You just WISH you could make Democrats understand this...
  7. From the 3rd Congressional District, Colorado's Rep. Lauren Boebert is surely an asset for us in DC... Wonder if she can help them in Colorado... Here she explains why she’s carrying a Glock in Washington... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zZ9EI7dqsg
  8. Thanks for the replies... I would be reloading 9mm, I have a friend with a single stage press and it seems like a lot of work for a low round count, but he loads rifle. I've been shooting about 500 rnds per month and at current ammo prices that's getting expensive. I did look for primers and your right, they are hard to find and not cheap either. When I look at the people on youtube they make it seem easy, but the more I look into it...I think I would be getting in over my head and I don't really know anybody who does progressive reloading. But I haven't ruled it out yet. Were do you guy's get your reloading supplies?
  9. Colorado Gov. said: "Recent tragedies around Colorado and the country demand quick and decisive ACTION..." For these anti-gun politicians, it's always more like a knee jerk irrational 'overreaction'.
  10. I just received my renewed foid card. This is how the process worked for me: When you login to IL foid website you will see the renew button 90 days before you existing card expires ( it will not show up before that) after applying it took about 60 days for me to get my new card
  11. Re: Witness Slips... Gets easier after you do it a few times. Question: are they just a tool for our Reps to gauge support for a Bill? How much weight do they really carry in Springfield? ...or are Witness Slips used in some other way in the legislative process?
  12. I'm new to reloading and I want to buy a press. What progressive press is good for a beginner
  13. From the article... "The bill approved in June will finally begin to address the backlog." (Richard Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association.) https://www.pjstar.com/story/news/politics/state/2021/06/29/illinois-foid-bill-could-eliminate-backlog-but-some-still-opposed/5364184001/
  14. Found these two articles.... https://sanctuarycounties.com/2019/12/25/how-to-become-a-sanctuary-county/ and https://gunpowdermagazine.com/so-you-want-to-start-your-own-second-amendment-sanctuary-county-heres-how/
