  1. Great news Colonel . I hope your other problem has been resolved also.
  2. My ballot was mailed Thursday 1/29. Good luck to you.
  3. I got the same message as the others. I hope you can get this straightened out Todd.
  4. 3rd paragraph tells of a rifle being found in his possession.
  5. I signed it for you Todd. Thanks for setting this up for us. I hope you make it this time.
  6. Makes me proud to have been a member for several years. It says something when law enforcement is against a law.
  7. My sister brought by her copy of the notice yesterday asking if I had gotten an email concerning this topic. I hadn't at that time. It was late yesterday evening before my notice came through . Don't give up hope yet Molly B. I am sure you and Mr. B. will get to roll in the money like the rest of us. 😁
  8. Very Good Point. My interpretation is you can still be convicted for not having a FOID for anything beyond simple possession inside your home, and the case was remanded because striking the entire statute was overkill Sorry but I can't get my head wrapped around that idea. If it is ok to posses a firearm in the home without a FOID card , then how did the firearm get there ? You can't buy a firearm without a FOID card , it is not legal for someone to loan or give you a firearm without you having a FOID card , and you certainly can't buy any ammo for the firearm without a FOID card. Pure stupidity!!!!!
  9. In the mean time , just remember to use your carry license till the new card comes. If you ever get a hold of someone that is. LOL Laughing is better than crying for you.
  10. You shouldn't have any issues. Like others have said your current FOID is good till you get the new card as long as you have renewed before the original card expired. You have renewed so no worries.
  11. And also when the state takes the funds for other things.
  12. Do they have states attorneys or District attorneys? If so what about them? Are they going to prosecute these unjust laws ?
  13. NO I would not, but in regards to the 2nd I face the reality and truth that the Supreme Court WILL allow acceptable restrictions on the 2nd (like age and criminal history prohibitions) that are not applicable to other rights, to believe otherwise is just being foolish and naive. There is no way the Supreme Court will ever open up the 2nd to the same level as the 1st even if, you and I believe it should be, there is simply no way the Supreme Court is going to let say 10 year old gang banger with a 3 page rap sheet that stlll fully has his 1st and 4th rights walk into a gun store (with the money he made swinging 8-balls on the corner) walk out with a brand new Glock and AR-15 with a few cases of bullets, this is the truth like it or not the 2nd will have restrictions that are not applied to other rights. First of all they need to make the person serve the max time allowed for the crime committed without time off for good behavior . When they have completed their full sentence they then should have all rights restored. If a person can not live in society without causing trouble ( committing criminal acts ) then that person should not be walking around loose.
