  1. thats good question. i just checked and noticed my FOID number changed. are we supposed to get a new FOID as well as a new CCL card? Depends. The older CCL cards upon renewal will generate a new FOID with new matching number and same as old FOID expire date. iirc, I think this is in place for up to mid 2015 CCL licenses. I am still awaiting renewal, but all Ive read says the cards arrive in separate envelopes. I have one of the old foid cards and did not get a new one with my original CCL or with my renewal. I'm not sure what criteria they use to generate new foid cards. I too have the old card. You and possibly me applied early enough that the FOID’s weren’t being run new at that time. I think iirc it was June of ‘15 when it started happening. After that a CCL app got you the new updated matching numbers cards You and possibly me, will get our new FOID’s when we renew! So, in the mean time, there wont be a problem using your existing FOI card that does not have the matching prefix number to the current CCL? Dealers still ask for the FOI when purchasing firearms

Some, as recent as the last few days, appear to get their number matched F.O.I. on the same day along with their CCL. No such luck for me. I am planning on waiting a month and then seek Molly advise.
  3. Are you people receiving your number matched F.O.I card at the same time? 3wks post CCL for me and still no F.O.I
  4. I think the record was a reference to the longest time frame, not the shortest... some early renewals were in hand in a matter of weeks.Exactly. At this point with renewals taking longer than original apps (and no 30 day LE wait involved) I think 164 was the longest I had seen before now. My bad. I thought it was in reference to the most recent renewals. They seem to be running 20 to 24 days longer now. More are all over the place with no prints sometimes going over 5 months
  5. This may be the record to date for a renewal. I assume you have not done prints? No, not a record. as stated earlier, no print renewal, 142 days in hand. Now if they would just send the dam FOI!
  6. Renewed my CCL without prints. 142 days later, I have CCL in hand, this was 7 days ago. I still have not received the new FOI card. On the ISP website, it shows they changed my FOI card number to match my CCL . This was done by adding the first two digits from the CCL to the FOI to make both numbers the same. I know the CCL and FOI cards are sometimes sent separately, and one may come before the other, but how long am I suppose to wait until I consider the FOI lost in the mail or whatever? ISP website shows both CCL and FOI cards "active". Would my current FOI card in my possession cause a problem if I tried to buy a firearm with it, since it has the old number without the two digit CCL prefix on it? What should be my next step?
  7. Renewal submitted Feb 19, 2019 no prints. June 24, 2019 day 125 inspect element shows "approved" Six days later still sitting at approved Expired 2 months 20 days
