My understanding is Indiana residents are not eligible for non-resident Illinois CCL. That being the case, if you plan on updating your address DO NOT renew - you’d be throwing $$ away since as soon as you update address they’ll revoke your Illinois CCL.

Define “parking area of a polling place” My polling place is not used exclusively for polling, even on Election Day. So does it only renew on purchase or does it renew on background check? Does it only renew on action from FFL or does an inquiry on the portal also trigger renewal? Does anybody know exactly what action(s) will trigger renewal?

IF, and it’s a big IF, you wish to continue with limits on the 2nd then: CCL should equal permit to carry and permit to purchase with no waiting period. FOID should be optional (and not required for CCL) and equal permit to purchase with no waiting period. (I.e. for those not possessing CCL). Those possessing neither CCL, nor FOID should still be allowed to purchase following background check and suitable waiting period. No permits required to possess/own.

Okay so this begs the question - does this rule the FOID requirement unconstitutional to possess within the home, or does it rule the FOID requirement unconstitutional to possess period?

Are the diversion programs free and must one have committed a crime to use them???
