RandyP Posted February 25, 2024 at 12:26 AM Share Posted February 25, 2024 at 12:26 AM Why yes, in fact I am aware of someone who did that this weekend with two previously registered firearms that have since been taken out of State. Their ISP account no longer shows them, but I can't speak to whether or not some sort of unlisted data trail remains.

Quiet Observer Posted February 25, 2024 at 03:46 AM Share Posted February 25, 2024 at 03:46 AM What is a covered registered firearm? I lived in Illinois several years and owned guns. I do not remember registering any firearm.
Euler Posted February 25, 2024 at 04:12 AM Share Posted February 25, 2024 at 04:12 AM Banned firearms owned prior to the passage of PICA are eligible to be grandfathered if the owner registers them. Estimates vary, but somewhere from 2% to 6% of banned firearms have been registered. The deadline was January 1.

This right here. Why would you need to draw attention to saying they were moved by removing them? IMHO that's just a free invitation!

The person who did relocate the items to another State told me that they had a good, logical and practical reason for taking them off the registry........ which was good enough for me.
