My son who served in the USMC as a MP came home in October after 6 yrs and did CCL and submitted without prints. He feels naked. Not mention he was able to care nationwide and overseas. He had highest level of security clearance including pentagon and white house. He keeps checking daily and is disappointed at this commie state. The average wait times are posted in the ISP statistics at this link: https://isp.illinois.gov/Foid/Statistics Non-fingerprint CCL applications are running about 67 days.
Shadow71 Posted January 16, 2025 at 06:05 PM Posted January 16, 2025 at 06:05 PM So they have my fingerprints since the first CCL application. Took the renewal class on 11/02, uploaded the certificate and renewed that day. Was just renewed yesterday, 01/15. I instructor said that I wouldn't be getting a new card. I already have, since the last renewal, the newer FOID with CCL endorsements on it and no expiration date. Picture is almost a decade old. LOL I have had LGS not take my CCL for a firearm purchase and wanted the new combined FOID. We'll see.

No. They print in groups, so it could take some time to post the printed. When, active, even if you don't have it in hand, you can use the digital version to carry.
Tip Posted January 17, 2025 at 09:18 PM Posted January 17, 2025 at 09:18 PM Last firearm purchase I made (a couple of years ago) the clerk at the LGS made the comment “Hmmm, never seen where FOID and DL pictures don’t match”. My FOID and DL have had different pics for years, ever since I got the “New and Improved” Real ID DL…. That FOID even got replaced with the “New and Improved” FOID - and they used the old FOID pic so they STILL aren’t the same…. Anybody else with different pics??
dcar_roll Posted January 18, 2025 at 12:13 AM Posted January 18, 2025 at 12:13 AM y Yep mine have different pictures on them ! I got my new foid before I got my newest drivers license with the real ID .

Molly B. Posted January 27, 2025 at 05:43 PM Posted January 27, 2025 at 05:43 PM That was really fast! Was that with fingerprints?

No fingerprints, but was surprised to see it go so fast from nothing reviewed to printed after months of nothing happening. I think my not so common name probably helped too.
Shadow71 Posted January 30, 2025 at 03:51 PM Posted January 30, 2025 at 03:51 PM Well I did get a new FOID/CCL last week. It is identical to the one I already have with no experation date adn the CCL endorsement.
Roger Z Posted February 15, 2025 at 09:24 PM Posted February 15, 2025 at 09:24 PM I completed my FCCL renewal application on December 24, 2024. The original application included fingerprints. Yesterday I received an email indicating my status had changed. I logged on and found the status indicated that all necessary items are present and my application had been moved to the background review queue. Today I received a second email again indicating my status had changed. This time the website indicates my status is Active with a 2030 expiration date. Looks like it took 52 calendar days which doesn't seem too bad considering this is Illinois and little if anything was happening during the holiday season. I already have the no date combo card so I'm not expecting to receive a new card.
Molly B. Posted March 3, 2025 at 05:31 PM Posted March 3, 2025 at 05:31 PM Another member reports a 72-day turnaround for renewal without prints.
