Molly B. Posted September 18, 2023 at 02:39 PM Share Posted September 18, 2023 at 02:39 PM The time frames for physical cards seem to be holding to the 90 days with prints 90-120 without prints. I'm not sure about the electronic versions. Please keep us posted when your status goes active, that would be good to know.

Upon checking status changes today to “Under Review 119 Days Remaining” I did submit prints too so not sure why it doesn’t say 89 Days Remaining. Maybe it’s just generic. Anyhow, it does give me comfort they acknowledge receipt of Application.

I hope your experience is better than mine. I received my card in the mail last week, 4 days short of six months from filing the application. The message on the website for my application was the same as yours and after 95 days they sent me an email that they could not read my training certificate. I contacted my instructor and he uploaded a fresh digital image and the problem was verified as corrected within 4 hours but they bumped me back to 120 days remaining. It showed active with 26 days left in the second countdown and I got the card in the mail two days later. I don't have any idea why it took so long other than to say that they have there own rules and we are at their mercy. I hope you have better luck than I did. ilphil Posted September 21, 2023 at 12:37 AM Share Posted September 21, 2023 at 12:37 AM I submitted my renewal in early April. In early June the portal showed sent to printer with new expiration date. Two weeks ago still waiting so I called the ISP. The lady I spoke to said I should have received it, and requested a replacement. Last week I got another new FOID card, but still no new CCL. Rmac702 Posted September 21, 2023 at 02:07 PM Share Posted September 21, 2023 at 02:07 PM I thought the ISP was going to replace the old FOID/CCL cards that just say CCL? The new cards say CCL Yes. I still have the old version.

CFREUND01 Posted October 14, 2023 at 01:35 AM Share Posted October 14, 2023 at 01:35 AM I applied for my CCL on the ISP Portal like a month ago Along with fingerprints. Anyhow, today was the first time I got a notice that my FOID card expiration date was extended, because I purchased a firearm. Is this because my fingerprints were now on file. I take it it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve begun to look at my CCL App or does it? Cheers.

It might mean they have your fingerprints on file, making you eligible for free FOID extensions. I bought a gun in May... that purchase changed my FOID exp date to May, 2023. After 60 days from CCL renewal, with fingerprints already on file, my status changed such as to indicate they were looking at my renewal application. Last week my status change to "Printed" and my FOID has been extended to ten years beyond the "Printed" date. I have yet to receive the new card but it's only been a week. You can easily check your CCL status on the portal. I imagine it will be looked at about 60 days after you submitted and paid for it. If you notice something different, please let us know! I hope yours comes quickly. Cheers, Tim Edited October 14, 2023 at 03:14 PM by soundguy
bean_counter Posted October 21, 2023 at 05:59 PM Share Posted October 21, 2023 at 05:59 PM My CCL went ‘Active’ yesterday 10/20; eCard shows “CCL: Yes”. Not showing as printed yet. Timing so far: application submitted 8/27; with prints active 10/20 so, 55 calendar days (with prints) to go Active. Will see how long it takes to receive the physical card. CFREUND01 Posted October 21, 2023 at 11:54 PM Share Posted October 21, 2023 at 11:54 PM Can you use eFOID/CCL like you do plain eFOID, wherein you can carry if you have your phone to show proof of CCL? Cheers

I did paperwork on a new pistol on Thursday, Friday afternoon is when I got email about CCL status update and later Friday (yesterday) evening got an email stating FOID expiration date was changed due to recent purchase. 2nd time in last month probably because I submitted prints. If interested I found out your electronic version of CCL is as good as physical copy, so as long as you can access it with phone while you carry you are legal to do so even before physical CCL shows up in mail. KENDLLB360 Posted November 16, 2023 at 11:59 PM Share Posted November 16, 2023 at 11:59 PM (edited) Hi, I wanted to ask do you know if a court order signed by a judge for CPD to return a firearm expires ever? I have my FOID back active again, and was seeking to have my firearm returned, but my court order is dated from 2017 for the CPD to return it but my FOID was still revoked at that time. Will I need a new court order now that my FOID is back active again? Thank you for the help Edited November 17, 2023 at 12:00 AM by KENDLLB360

My FOID was revoked and that's why my CCL expired, but got my foid back last week so why should I have to pay another 150$ and redo the 16hr training again you know. So want to call and see if I can get a faster result than waiting for a email back lol
Frank Posted November 18, 2023 at 12:18 AM Share Posted November 18, 2023 at 12:18 AM CCL RENEWAL: Applied: 09/10/2023 Notification of incomplete application 10/25/2023 CCL and FOID renewed: 11/17/2023 I applied for renewal of my CCL on Sept 10. On October 25, I received a letter from ISP stating my application was incomplete. They said I had not completed the criminal history questionnaire. I have no idea how the online application system let me skip these questions and submit my renewal application. I called ISP FSB and talked to a real human being in minutes. She emailed me a copy of the criminal history questionnaire. I printed it out, filled it out, scanned it and emailed it back to her. Today, 11/17/2023, I was notified there was a change in status of my application. When I logged into my ISPFSB account, I saw that my CCL and FOID had new, updated expiration dates. It feels kind of weird that I am not getting a new card in the mail. -- Frank
