No. Certain forces have convinced the President to seek to reclassify marijuana so the government can study and fund studies having to do with the effectiveness of its compounds for use in relieving pain and illness. It might be Secretary Kennedy. This is a good thing, which has been stymied ever since marijuana became formally classified as a dangerous drug in 1970. This is just a small step towards allowing it to be sold much as alcohol is sold. We are a long way from decriminalization. Business big and small will mostly be served by this action, should it happen. State-Legal pot shops might be able to deduct business expenses on their tax returns. They might be able to have business bank accounts. You might be able to buy pot using a credit card! Unless you know that Trump has specifically said he supports decriminalizing marijuana, I would guess he does not. He will not approve of using it for giggles. Some members of the administration may be giggle users, but who knows... Cheers, Tim

*I was able to verify my FOID/CCL and view my E-Card just now on the Applicant Portal. That part seems to be working... Why would the manufacturer need to access the FOID system? Is this some new requirement for shipping? All of my experiences with mfg warranty repairs and aftermarket work/modifications/upgrades have been direct with the mfg/gun shop doing the work. I take the properly packaged gun to FedEx and off it goes. The state of Illinois has never been involved. Twice a finished pistol has been left at my front door while I was away. Cheers, Tim
