  1. Take Molly up on her offer to possibly assist you, if you haven't already done so. Click on her name, upper left of her response to you, and a new page will come up, allowing you to send her a private message. Cheers, Tim
  2. Who makes that call... ? It could easily go against any of us, given the right bad circumstances. Cheers, Tim
  3. I know this might seem... insane. The prevailing thought is that their sex is not based entirely on the reproductive organs they were born with. I certainly do not understand it at all. It exists in our culture today. It may have existed this way for all of humanity. The difference is tech science that allows for a physical change of the body to correspond with the "sex" of the being. Labeling it/them as mentally unstable is likely quite inaccurate... it has existed for a very long time. Most, myself included, simply do not understand it. How could anyone understand it if they did not experience it? If "trans-folk" are prohibited from keeping and bearing arms, you and I could be next on the list along with vets who suffered trauma in war, folks far too interested in militia training, anyone ever in trouble with the law for any reason... This is not America. Cheers, Tim
  4. We need to pay attention to the highlighted part above. If some extra liberals choose to support 2A rights... that's a bonus. Cheers, Tim
  5. Apparently there are anti-trans forces that are not pro-2A. This may be the real dilemma. Cheers, Tim
  6. This is wrong no matter who is in power, even for those "nuttier than squirrel crap" folks who think banning trans-folk from having guns is a good idea. Once one class is banned, others be banned. Cheers, Tim
  7. This is bad for the 2A. From a supposedly pro 2A administration. What group will be next… Cheers, Tim
  8. Good morning Todd. It looks like there may be a problem. The link accepted my Life Member number but thinks I have already voted for you. We’re sorry, but it looks as if you’ve already signed a petition for this candidate. If you believe you’re receiving this message in error, please contact - webmaster@nrahq.org Cheers, Tim
  9. Me too... We’re sorry, but it looks as if you’ve already signed a petition for this candidate. If you believe you’re receiving this message in error, please contact - webmaster@nrahq.org Cheers, Tim
  10. Because so many 2A candidates come with excess baggage. Cheers, Tim
  11. Rauner beat Quinn because of poor approval AND, in my case, because he had vowed not to run, and then he did. Pritzger beat Rauner because a bunch of conservatives no longer supported Rauner because he wasn't conservative enough. Pritzger beat Bailey because Bailey was too conservative to be elected Gov in Illinois. I voted for Rauner twice. I have never voted for Quinn, Pritzger, or Bailey, and likely never will. Cheers, Tim
  12. I have been using dot sights for rat hunting with a Crosman 2240 for a couple years. It's nice to be able to see the dot on the target in low light. Far better than iron sights that require illumination to see the sights in the dark. I've been using MeproLight sights for my carry pistol for a while. Recently picked up a Girsan LW PI High Power which is red dot ready... thinking about it for the range but I certainly don't want to add delicate bulk to my carry pistols. Cheers, Tim
  13. I saw a video of one of those "it went off by itself in the holster" incidents. If you looked closely, you could see the finger still in the trigger guard as the shooter was attempting to re-holster his P320 on the firing line. Catching his finger on the holster caused it to press the trigger back for the surprise bang. The shooter swore it was "uncommanded". It is possible it is not an unsafe gun... Cheers, Tim
  14. Times have changed. In the first gun death I covered doing network news, a similar incident occurred in Chicago but with a tip up barrel Beretta "hidden" in dad's sock drawer. The round in the chamber of this Beretta will not reliably eject when racking the slide, which the young shooter did to clear the weapon, before putting it to his friends temple and pulling the trigger as a joke. BANG. Instant death. It was decided that charging the child or parent would result in additional hardship in an already terrible accident. The gun was confiscated, since it was not registered and thus illegal in Chicago. All were left to grieve and be haunted for as long as such a thing might haunt you... I hope this new legal action, resulting from the carelessness of the owner and child, does not result in having to re-install the magazine disconnect safeties in my High Powers. Keep your guns secure and prevent the hardship of accidents. Cheers, Tim
  15. No outside money and a very short period of time to campaign... Cheers, Tim
