  1. Target Sports USA ships directly to my 606** zip code home in Chicago. Excellent service from this CT based company. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/ Cheers, Tim
  2. I interpret it to say exactly what it says. The statute does not say that carry at a private residence requires prior permission. The statute says a homeowner is not required to post that "no carry" sign. The terms of entering a private residence are quite different than those entering a place where the public is invited. At a private residence, it is far simpler to chat with each invited guest and make your view on carry known. This is more difficult at a public place where random folks are expected to enter, hence the requirement to post. It actually makes sense. Cheers, Tim
  3. My Internet experience is not with Maxon's, which is my favorite range... All of my Internet purchases arrive at my regular FFL two to three days after I have purchased and paid for them. When they arrive I fill out the forms, they make "the call" while I inspect my new item and I actually do leave the shop with my new gun. A one stop affair. When I choose to buy something off the shelf at my favorite range, of course I must fill out the forms, observe that Illinois waiting period, and return for pickup in three days. You should chat with your FFL if your experience is different. I agree, it would be lovely if there were no waiting periods or hoops to jump through. This new proposal is not practical or convenient. Cheers, Tim
  4. No. Who comes up with this stuff? I don't see a point unless I am confined to my home. Cheers, Tim
  5. Magazines are arms. LC Magazines are in common use. Seems to me that magazine capacity cannot be restricted. Cheers, Tim

    Best Ranges?

What part of the state are you in? My favorite range ever is at Lake Yellowstone in WI. It's free to all and has camping in the nearby state park. Unfortunately it's in the middle of nowhere and quite a hike from Chicago. Cheers, Tim
  8. I don't know if I feel any better knowing any of the justices know anything about gummies, or if it's their staff. It does make you realize how they come to some of the conclusions they do. It might just be common sense. Cheers, Tim
  9. I am not surprised... Cheers, Tim
  10. I had to look this up, just for for fun. The First Lady and her son are dual citizens. If the Presidents mother was indeed born in the UK, guess who else may be eligible for dual citizenship... he has not claimed it. Don Jr, Eric and Ivanka may also be eligible for dual citizenship in the Czech Republic. Cheers, Tim
  11. If you are an instructor, you may self certify. You should be certain to cover all the law with yourself. It would be embarrassing to turn yourself in for giving a short class or missing something. Cheers, Tim
  12. A growing number of lame ducks with a grudge... Cheers, Tim
  13. The bar has not been set very high. He'd better answer a softball question from a friendly correctly. Cheers, Tim
  14. Always must read content! Cheers, Tim
  15. Because it is your choice to ignore... You probably want an "invisible" feature. You can create "invisible" through private conversations. Creating a thread on a public forum does not give you ownership. I suppose someone will need to quote this for John to see it. Editing to add that I often enjoy your comments and insight, JQP. Cheers, Tim
