Bud Posted January 29, 2013 at 10:39 PM Posted January 29, 2013 at 10:39 PM Please do not discuss the Bill openly on Illinois Carry. If you have questions, concerns or want to object to anything, please do not post it online.Send Molly B, Abolt243 or Don Gwinn a private message with what ever you want to discuss. they will respond to you and tell you how to proceed. Todd has put a LOT of work and time into this, there still things to be added/deleted over the next couple of weeks and discussing strategy or direction publically is a very bad idea. This is really important and all of us need to help enforce this. Do not be afraid to ask dsomeone to immediately go back and delete a post they may have made and ask them politely to send it to one of the admins. We have come to far to screw this up now by letting passions sabotage the effort

Bhawk99 Posted January 29, 2013 at 11:11 PM Posted January 29, 2013 at 11:11 PM The bill is as good as I hoped for. Enough said.

GldRush98 Posted January 30, 2013 at 12:44 AM Posted January 30, 2013 at 12:44 AM You think this isn't being discussed other places on the net? It's already on the front page of Gunnit that has over 104,000 subscribers.Sticking your heads in the sand isn't going to help any. Pretty silly to not discuss Illinois Carry on IllinoisCarry.comJust my 2 cents.
Skorpius Posted January 30, 2013 at 12:46 AM Posted January 30, 2013 at 12:46 AM All my legislative bills were lost in a tragic boating accident.
cberan Posted January 30, 2013 at 01:24 AM Posted January 30, 2013 at 01:24 AM I just looked and its already on AR15 dot com. That website is so big I can't even navigate through it. I think the cat is already out of the bag.

When i first read it i thought you said "SVELTE mode" in which case i would have been in severe jeopardy Off topic a bit .... But one crazy night during AIT at Fort Ord CA way back in the 60s I went to Stillwell Hall on a cliff over the pacific to drink beer (lots)!and listen to rock music. The live band was called The Sveltes which were 5 young California ladies. Svelte had never had the same meaning since [sigh].
C0untZer0 Posted January 30, 2013 at 01:45 AM Posted January 30, 2013 at 01:45 AM This is a boring thread. I'm reporting it for being unacceptably boring... Hey I was stationed in Monterey for a while, used to go to the Ft Ord PX to get stuff...

The Antis troll this site because it's readers and posters are very knowledgeable about the bills, statutes and strategy. That's my dime's worth.
vess1 Posted January 30, 2013 at 01:56 AM Posted January 30, 2013 at 01:56 AM I just looked and its already on AR15 dot com. That website is so big I can't even navigate through it. I think the cat is already out of the bag. I've said what I think about this in the past. We're being delusional if we think this is the only place on the net discussing this bill and that the other side isn't aware of Google yet. No, instead we're supposed to be paranoid to post the bill number and have everybody afraid to say anything. I can understand some major details we'd want to keep secret. But to come out with a blanket statement and say we're not allowed to talk about it is BS. I'm tired of this stupid game. The pros and antis in Springfield are going to hash out details amongst themselves. This isn't Obamacare. The full bill can be read in less than an hour for anyone who is passionate enough to read it, let alone search internet forums. They're college educated. Most are lawyers. Lets get a grip.

Pretty silly to not discuss Illinois Carry on IllinoisCarry.comJust my 2 cents. +1I can't see how anything in this bill hasn't been discussed before or isn't currently being discussed elsewhere. The civil rights biggots are already wise to what we want and dont want. They really aren't as stupid as we give them credit for. There ignorant rhetoric is for the low information fence sitter not their masses. The proffessional gungrabber knows whats up. I thought when discussion was stifled earlier on this forum we were told that the time for discussing this legislation was after it was introduced and anything else was just speculation. When will the time for discussion be? After some of it is bargained away? After passage and signed into law? Illinois Carry is a great forum and I appreciate the hard work of all here. I support the effort and will continue to do so and I will also seek out other areas were I can engage in the discussion and learn from my peers about proposed legislation that effect me and my family. I have a voice and I want that voice to be heard and contribute to the effort in swaying opinion about proposed legislation that is dear to me. Anything less makes me no different than the sheeple. All of that being said, this is not my forum and will respect the wishes of the forum owner and not make posts here regarding this legislation and cause additional work for the mods. Thanks for listening. Heading out to find some discussion on this legislation. I'll be home later...........
