Firebent Posted September 13, 2019 at 10:02 PM Posted September 13, 2019 at 10:02 PM I received a new foid card today. Unfortunately I needed new conceal carry card. Tried calling could not get though. Sent email, will see how long it takes to fix this.
billzfx4 Posted September 13, 2019 at 10:09 PM Posted September 13, 2019 at 10:09 PM Did you already have a "new/updated" style FOID or was it the old one? They are sending people with the older one's a new style one along with the CCL renewal. Two cards arrive at separate times in two different envelopes.......Illinois logic at it's best.
InterestedBystander Posted September 13, 2019 at 10:24 PM Posted September 13, 2019 at 10:24 PM and this FOID should have same expire date as the one you already had with 2 additional numbers to match CCL number. The CCL will show up in a few days/weeks and you will still need to get a new FOID when it becomes due.
spanishjames Posted September 13, 2019 at 10:59 PM Posted September 13, 2019 at 10:59 PM Congratulations!

Not much information in your post.

The Post Office needs money too Side topic: The ISP should combine the carry permit into the FOID as an endorsement. If they're making the FOID number match the CCW number what's the point of having two IDs? If they want different expiration periods, that's easy enough to handle for people who have the carry endorsement. Either that or eliminate the FOID requirement for carry permit folks as it's redundant.
Mr. Fife Posted September 13, 2019 at 11:59 PM Posted September 13, 2019 at 11:59 PM Tomato, tomatoes. Congrats!
Firebent Posted September 14, 2019 at 03:37 AM Author Posted September 14, 2019 at 03:37 AM New foid card has new expiration date. Five years from now. I applied for my ccl four months ago. Old Foid card was new update style already. Online shows new date for ccl.and old date for foid. Can’t wait to see with they say.
Bitter Clinger Posted September 14, 2019 at 11:32 AM Posted September 14, 2019 at 11:32 AM Well, if their history is any indicator, you will probably never hear from them.
