  1. Well, if one wants to limit the scope and influence of transgenders and such, or any fringe group for that matter, shouldn't they ultimately be disarmed to prevent retaliation? If one wants to suppress, subjugate, repress/oppress a particular group, in this case transgenders, the first step historically is to disarm them. Pretty normal for folks who want to oppress a group to want them disarmed. VooDoo
  2. I tried - same issue: We’re sorry, but it looks as if you’ve already signed a petition for this candidate. If you believe you’re receiving this message in error, please contact - webmaster@nrahq.org Hopefully this is just a glitch/bug and not a feature. VooDoo
  3. My problems with Illinois revolve around our .gov and the Democrat Super Majority. The Democrats are trampling our 2A, 5A, and 14A Rights with impunity. Exactly, and agreed. VooDoo
  4. All my pistols have optics now. I started converting and training into optics about a year ago. Initially, I had a problem finding the dot but solved that by working on my presentation and giving up on using iron sights as a crutch. My combat/self defense style shooting is now faster and more accurate. I have not had any issues other than the initial teething issues of finding the dot. I'm a big fan of Holosun optics (I use Holosun exclusively) and have not had any issues with them. It is a minor issue for me to stay on top of battery replacements but using an electronic sight is going to create more maintenance issues than iron sights. I do not use backup iron sights. VooDoo
  5. I'm still here because I just have to keep rationalizing losing tens of thousands of dollars on my home sale as no one wants to move to Illinois. I'm gonna take a bath on selling my home. I don't think it's gonna get fixed by SCOTUS. I hope I'm wrong but pretty sure SCOTUS is gonna allow Illinois and other States to ignore precedent like Bruen and Heller without consequence. My personal opinion is that SCOTUS is "owned and operated" by the same folks who own and operate .gov. Stick US with a fork.... VooDoo
  6. My Girlfriend lives in Iowa and that is where my Illinois forbidden firearms are now stored. I'm working on getting out of Illinois but I'm gonna take a bath on selling my house and getting out of this State. It's apparent that the Constitution is being ignored in Illinois and even SCOTUS precedents are being ignored with prejudice in Illinois. I have my CCL and carry everywhere/all the time it is legal to do so - I avoid places that are posted and prefer doing business in Iowa now (it's literally 5 minutes to drive across the river) as the few "no CCL allowed" signs I encounter in Iowa have no force of law unless it is a bar or Fed building, etc. I have lived my whole life in Illinois as a model citizen. I don't cheat or break the laws (I don't even speed ) and I pay my taxes and support law enforcement. Illinois is driving me out of my home trying to disarm me while ignoring my 2nd, 5th, and 14th Amendment Rights. What comes after that will be Tyranny and control and I'm not having it. VooDoo
  7. This topic brings to my mind the understanding of why the US is a Constitutional Republic rather than a Democracy - in a Democracy, if a majority of people believe and vote that a minority should be stripped of their Rights then it is "majority rule" and the minority is deprived. In a Constitutional Republic, it doesn't matter if 99% of the majority wants my Rights. The Constitution guarantees them. The majority is being allowed to deprive gun owners in the US of their constitutionally protected rights. in Illinois, gun owners 2nd, 5th, and 14th amendment rights are being usurped because the state supreme court and SCOTUS are allowing the majority to violate the constitution and deprive a minority of it's constitutionally guaranteed rights. I'm desperately seeking a resolution to this but I'm not seeing how the US pulls itself out of this dilemma in a 2 party system where both parties are "owned and operated" by a super rich minority with the agenda of controlling and infringement to the degree of disarming America. I don't see a path out of this for gun owning Americans so long as Citizens United remains intact in allowing super rich donors to bribe/own our representation and the 2 party system, where party loyalty is more prevalent than loyalty to the constitution and the country as a whole. The Oligarchy that owns US and operates our .gov wants US disarmed. The why of that fact is what really concerns me as I'm convinced that when stuff like PICA is allowed to stand, and we have been infringed into virtual disarmament, the poo is gonna hit the fan in America in ways difficult to resolve. .Gov and other groups seem to want US disarmed/infringed into virtual disarmament despite the constitution. I don't see a viable plan or way out of this.
  8. <sarc>Ya gotta wonder where and when the infringement is gonna stop....how much will be enough? How many more "laws" do we need to make it more difficult to be able to lawfully own and operate firearms in Illinois? </sarc> VooDoo
  9. My guess is that since Pritzker wants to be next in line after Trump, he'll pick his battles more wisely the next few years. Pritzker wants to turn the US into California and Illinois so, to get elected, he'll have to be a bit more careful about buying judges and shoving Leftist Rhetoric and policy to the forefront. VooDoo
  10. I'd think that if it is unconstitutional to make an ammunition purchaser submit to a background check, it would follow that requiring an FOID card to purchase ammunition would be equally as unconstitutional. VooDoo
  11. Just an observation - many of the folks I know in Illinois that have FOID cards, including family members, have no idea about PICA or what it means to them. Some have illegal firearms in their possession and have no idea that if PICA gets enforced, they are potential felons. I'd wager that there are many FOID holders State wide that vote on more issues than 2A Rights specifically so we will not likely get a consensus among pro 2A/FOID holders in Illinois. I don't personally think what's wrong with Illinois (and America for that matter) can be/will be fixed. Our Representation and even SCOTUS seems to be "owned and operated" by entities that want America effectively disarmed via unconstitutional infringement upon our Rights. Add to this that I know quite a few FOID holders who agree with banning ""assault weapons"" in Illinois and in the US - many gun owners are "Fudds" and don't think we need or have a right to semi auto's or high cap magazines. They are fine with me (and you) being deprived of our Rights as long as their plinking guns are not affected. I doubt we can get a consensus on a candidate among FOID holders in Illinois. VooDoo
  12. IMO, without a SCOTUS that will uphold the Constitution and enforce it's rulings and force lower courts to adhere to their precedents and rulings, there is little that can be done. Illinois is controlled by a Democrat Super Majority and it doesn't look like that will change/can be changed in the foreseeable future. VooDoo
  13. I agree with properly securing firearms so they can't be accessed by unauthorized folks, be they kids or thieves. What we do not need, what I do not want, is "Big Brother" mandating the parameters thru another law. Pretty sure the State of Illinois wants to practically disarm Illini and this law is just another way of infringing on gun possession and ownership. I agree with the premise of the law but we all know the real reason (instead of protecting the children) is to infringe and make gun ownership and possession just that much more difficult and convoluted. VooDoo
  14. Got my tickets today. Looking forward to it. VooDoo
  15. It always baffles my Illinois Liberal acquaintances when they begin to pontificate about abuse of the Constitution and I tell them that Illinois is literally trampling my 2nd, 5th, and 14th amendment Rights while blatantly ignoring SCOTUS precedent in the PICA Act. Most people, even in Illinois, have no idea that the Democrat Super Majority in Illinois is willfully trampling the Constitution wholesale and repeatedly while pointing the finger at others they deem to be Fascists and seeking to destroy American Democratic Process. Ya can't outshout a Democrat. That's a fact. VooDoo
