  1. Question about the ISP KIOSKS. I know there are 5 ISP headquarters throughout the state that are supposed to have employees and computers available to help people apply and renew their FOID/CCL cards. With that, I have had a number of students who have gone to District 5 in Joliet and I've been told that nobody answers the door, nor will anyone answer the phone. Has anyone else heard about this issue with any of the other locations. Or did ISP just stop the program altogether. Thanks
  2. I completely agree. In addition I know churches that have sections of the church that are separated by doors for child care and those doors are marked with the GFZ sign. The way I interpret this is that the areas outside of the child care facilities that are marked with the GFZ sign you are good to carry in.
  3. When the calendar comes up, go to the upper left corner and click on the year 2024. This will populate a screen that allows to roll back to your year of birth. Then scroll to your month and click on the day you want.
  4. No assumptions here. Your renewal button becomes active 180 days prior to your expiration. When you get your renewal notice from the ISP, your renewal button is activated. You can renew now and your new expiration date will run concurrent with your current date. You will not lose any time as was their practice in the past. After enough complaining the ISP changed their ways of renewing the CCL licenses.
  5. As an FYI The ISP has stopped doing this. Quite a few complaints and phone calls were made a few years back and they now run the 5 year expiration concurrent with the expiration date your license currently has.
  6. 430 ILCS 65 (c) If the Firearm Owner's Identification Card of a licensee under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act expires during the term of the licensee's concealed carry license, the Firearm Owner's Identification Card and the license remain valid and the licensee does not have to renew his or her Firearm Owner's Identification Card during the duration of the concealed carry license. Unless the Illinois State Police has reason to believe the licensee is no longer eligible for the card, the Illinois State Police may automatically renew the licensee's Firearm Owner's Identification Card and send a renewed Firearm Owner's Identification Card to the licensee.
  7. Correct, and to add one thing. If you are able to pull up the E card from your phone off the ISP website in your account then you do not have to carry the hard card with you.
  8. SAF and FPC are seeking cert with SCOTUS in this case. Not getting my hopes up but keeping my fingers crossed. 👍
