ISP has filed the Emergency Rule to implement PICA

I don't believe the state police. These are the same tactics deployed during the vaccination drive, before people were mandated

by their employer to take them. They did everything through social and PR means. That includes statistics and numbers generated.

You can generate those. And the state police knows that; or should.

I don't care what they, or any department supporting them says: registration numbers are taken on the presumption

of good faith. They have no legal ability to prove their numbers. Unless an attorney were to actually look at

'affidavit' information, I'm sorry - registration - which isn't fully addressed in my view, the state police are lying.

That does not mean they can and will arrest and do their best to prosecute cases - I expect this, regardless

of how much litigation. That does not mean they won't attempt making things impossible. I will

remain steadfast in never believing a single number, holding it to merely be a lie so they

can hurt more people with fifth amendment waivers.

Even if you somehow get an affidavit, there is no way of renewing an endorsement. That

exists and continues to exist for CCL - there is law to address that - but not for PICA.

What happens on December 31 if (when) the ISP website crashes due to overload?

All the evil elves will be at home or on vacation.

So what happens to those trying on the last day to register and can’t due to the site being down?

Most likely we'll all become instant felons if we have more than one illegal item that doesn't get registered. But it'll take them quite a while to identify and round us all up. Nobody thought about that when they set this up. Gaad knows what's gonna happen.

This state is messed up. Looking at the new appointment-only system for renewing Driver's licenses is like playing whack-a-mole.  My wife never received her Safe Driver renewal code (still applies) this year and let her license expire. The ILSOS website has no instructions how to proceed if your license expires, just that there is a one-year grace period.

The online scheduling system is like a randomizer and typically only shows same day appointments (or not). Good luck trying to schedule in advance if your day off is Wednesday. They make you call or log on at 7:00am to see if appointments open up for that day.  But you have to keep checking because some offices may not update their system until 8:00am or later. I've been watching this randomizer across multiple offices go from "no appts available" to "next appointment available at xx.xx" but without enough time to drive there.  You would think as Monday fills up they would let you see times for Tuesday or Wednesdays. Nope. But then they'll open up a day in November.  Downstate offices are less difficult to schedule than anything north of Springfield.

This state finds more ways to screw with people and waste their time.  How much respect will they show firearms owners?

In Illinois you have to pay fee’s to exercise rights, that the government grants you, like a FOID card, to exercise LIMITED rights that the power hungry elites think you should have. None of this God given or granted rights stuff.

It’s government, not Burger King or any other business that needs your support to survive and be around to provide you goods and services.
IL government exists to serve its union members, and perpetuate the government.

I bet you thought government was to serve the people that keep feeding it their tax dollars, penalties, fines and fees.

It’s like government education, to serve the teachers union, what are you gonna do, put your kids in a competing school if your area school sucks?

Government transportation, serves the transportation unions, and collects money from you multiple times, even if you don’t use it.

And on

and on

and on.

BTW - The illegal border jumpers, they are use to government taking their money and getting nothing back and liking it. They are living the life here on our tax dollars, free housing, food, education, etc.

If you are that concerned, then don't wait until the last minute. Otherwise, you wake up on 1/1/24 and do what you normally do on NYD - the ISP doesn't know what guns you have.

I'm with you, I think 99% of FOID holders give a FF the other 1% need a pill or something.

I tried to buy a folding stock adapter for a bolt gun I have and they would not sell it to me because if it was on a semi auto, it would make it an assault weapon.

I tried to buy a muzzle device for a bolt gun and they would not sell it to me because if it was on a semi auto, it would make it an assault weapon.

I tried to buy a stock with adjustable length of pull for my son's Ruger 10/22 and they would not sell it to me because it would make it an assault weapon.

I tried to buy a bellville washer to put a muzzle device on a bolt gun and they would not sell it to me because it could also be used on an AR.

So, my question is: if you have any of these items already on guns that are NOT considered assault weapons, would these be considered "assault weapon attachments" (ie need to be registered)?  Would an "unregistered" muzzle brake on my Tikka bolt gun make me a criminal even if I have nothing in Illinois that is considered an assault weapon?

Guitar cases and gig bags are in many homes. They "could" be used to transport an "assault weapon". What a cluster.

Just think - Hillary got off Scot free with answers like "I do not recall" and the FBI's Comey ruling that "Hillary had no criminal intent" when it came to sensitive files on personal servers at home.  None of us have criminal intent, so what we own and where we keep them shouldn't matter either. IANAL, but do notice the double standard when it comes to Democrats.

One of the many unanswerable questions due to the vagueness of the steaming pile of manure they passed.

It’s even vague as to intent.  Did they intend it to be this difficult to interpret or if they are that ignorant to all of these items/issues and their potential uses.  I vote Option C, they  intended it to be difficult to understand AND they are ignorant.  But we’ll never know for sure… vagueness all around.
