Wild Bill Posted March 15, 2023 at 07:39 PM Posted March 15, 2023 at 07:39 PM Consider - It's a felony to have an assembled SBR without the approval ($200) from the ATF to have one. The ATF has an "amnesty" period you can register your AR pistol as an SBR by sending them a photo of your firearm (as well as other information) Let's say the 120 day amnesty period expires and you do not have "approval" from the ATF for your AR pistol. You now have provided proof - picture, serial #, etc - to the ATF that you posses a fully assembled SBR yet you have no authorization to possess it. As the law is written, you're a felon. Does anyone trust the ATF will not come after those that have provided proof they are in possession of an unauthorized SBR?

Bitter Clinger Posted March 17, 2023 at 02:35 PM Posted March 17, 2023 at 02:35 PM Well, with the way the ATF behaves these days, you never know.
lilguy Posted March 27, 2023 at 10:40 AM Posted March 27, 2023 at 10:40 AM https://www.keltecweapons.com/firearm/pistols/plr16/ Is this covered by the rule? I was always worried about braced pistols. They look like SBRs.

lilguy Posted April 5, 2023 at 06:51 PM Posted April 5, 2023 at 06:51 PM A number of companies other than Keltec make rifle caliber handguns. They are not tied to a stock in any fashion. Is the Keltec considered a sbr now as shown? HK, CZ many more available.
