She says that her bill will make it harder for mass shooters to get guns.

She fails to explain that it will make it harder for anyone to get guns.

She now claims to know what every member of the House knows about "gun violence".

Representative Keith Wheeler requests a vote verification. It is granted.

Mr. Wheeler continues by asking if the bill is a little bit of many bills. The sponsor answers in the affirmative.

He asks if it would require fingerprints for new and renewal applications. She doesn't know the answer, then answers only once after being coached.

She also doesn't know how many FOID cards there are in the state.

Mr. Wheeler asks if it is correct the 2.2 Million FOID card holders must now submit prints to exercise a right. She answers with a lower number, still in the millions, because of existing prints.

She states that there will be an amendment in the Senate to change the proposed 5 year FOID back to 10 year.

Wheeler points out that the bill being voted on in the House does not include that change.

Mr. Wheeler should ask her what purpose is served by requiring around 2 million people that are already legally exercising their 2A rights to submit to fingerprinting to continue doing so.

One wonders why?

Wheeler says HB562 has agreed language with ISP in the Senate. That the language was accepted in its entirety last night. He suggests they proceed with the agreed language instead of her bill which is not agreed.

The promise of “we’ll fix it later” has been made a lot this year, and subsequently broken. Similarly, there were promises from certain Democrat members in committee that they wouldn’t support the bill in the current form on the floor, but agreed to get it through committee “to keep working”…we’ll see if they keep their promises…

Ms. Willis steps in to rescue Ms. Hirschaer. She denies the existence of an agreed bill in the Senate, too.

She also says an amendment will bring the fee back to $10 and the term back to 10 years. She says other changes are being worked on too.

Showing her continued disdain for the Constitution, she derides people who "believe the Second Amendment is the law of the land".

I’m glad someone else heard that the same way I did

Ms. Willis also attempts to justify fingerprints by saying some people already have them on file for their jobs.

… which won’t be accepted by the ISP for firearms purposes.
