Brass Scrounger Posted April 11, 2009 at 02:13 PM Posted April 11, 2009 at 02:13 PM Greetings to all. To make a long story average; took a call Thursday from this woman wanting to know if we had wireless access here at work. A little more dialogue later, I discovered it was Valinda Rowe who was going to make a counterpoint commentary on the 20/20 trash that aired last night. Being an engineer here, there can sometimes be "technical difficulties" , so needless to say I made darned certain Valinda had everything she could use - from a technical support aspect - even though I had the rotten luck of not being on hand last night. Was a shame the antis wussed out, as I do believe Valinda would have cleaned their clocks!

With the internet access I was able to hook in to GunFacts.info and connect with some of my IllinoisCarry friends who were also watching the 20/20 piece. It was great being able to share back-up comments prior to the airing of the news segment - great fun - and you've got a great crew there at WSIL. We made a standing offer to the WSIL newswomen for some quality range time and firearm safety training! Molly B.
junglebob Posted April 11, 2009 at 05:17 PM Posted April 11, 2009 at 05:17 PM Welcome Brass Scrounger, I missed the 20/20 trash what did they say?

Brass Scrounger Posted April 12, 2009 at 01:17 AM Author Posted April 12, 2009 at 01:17 AM Welcome Brass Scrounger, I missed the 20/20 trash what did they say? ABC (Anything But Conservative) trotted out the usual bag of half-truths and distortions; and a new stunt that opened my eyes: I didn't realize you couldn't take out an attacker with a concealed handgun wearing a sweatshirt that hangs to your knees while wearing heavy mittens! It would have been laughable; but I knew many people were actually believing this tripe. Maybe they'll do an expose' next week on how CC saves lives. not!
Molly B. Posted April 12, 2009 at 08:25 PM Posted April 12, 2009 at 08:25 PM Just for fun here are some photos Mr. B snapped of the telecast at WSIL TV3. We watched the 20/20 show on one of the screens above, and I'm hooking up to GunFacts.info while online with some IllinoisCarry friends so we can share comments and info during the program. Meeting Angie Wyatt the news anchorwoman - someone I was very excited to meet! Making a point during the newscast - On the set during the broadcast - Dana Jay (the TV3 reporter who brought a news crew to IGOLD), IllinoisCarry spokesperson Valinda Rowe, WSIL TV3 news anchor Angie Wyatt.

I'm glad to know Molly had some air time to dispell the myths conveyed in the 20/20 show. I'm sure she set them straight. Edit To Add:Actually is it possible for someone to copy the video over to photobucket? I can open those links....my curiousity is kill'n me

GarandFan Posted April 14, 2009 at 10:35 PM Posted April 14, 2009 at 10:35 PM Fantastic MollyB!! "Our calls to the Bradys and the ICHV were not returned." Yeah ... why should they, when they own the Chicago media that reaches 70% of the state population? Again, excellent, Molly. Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to advocate!
