Will the government shutdown affect you personally?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that all employees who lose pay during a shutdown eventually get it paid back.

Just more paid vacation time for the employees.

I seem to recall this too and no it will not affect me and what does DACA have to do with it I just dont get it what part of Illegal don't they get

There is plenty of cronyism in government, plenty that could get cut out of the government.

I have always felt we only need to pass 1 more law. Congress gets the same pay and benefits as our military.

DACA, immigration policy, perceived opiod problems, etc have little if anything (and really nothing IMHO) to do with current government funding issues to keep basic things running.

I’d think they’d even be pleased with good healthcare from the VA. We all know Congress has the best our $ can buy forever
