Euler Posted March 11, 2022 at 07:15 AM Posted March 11, 2022 at 07:15 AM It doesn't seem that long ago to me when Point Blank changed its name to Shoot Point Blank. RangeUSA RangeUSA said: (Cincinnati, OH -- Dec. 1, 2021) -- Shoot Point Blank, the world's largest operator of indoor gun ranges, is changing its name to Range USA™. All new stores that open in 2022 will carry the Range USA name and the current 32 locations will be re-branded by the end of March 2022. ... All Shoot Point Blank memberships, gift cards, classes, and other items will remain valid. Smallbore Posted March 11, 2022 at 02:08 PM Posted March 11, 2022 at 02:08 PM I have wondered why companies spend huge chunks of money to change their name. Are they in need of a tax write off? Or the opposite, the old name scaring away clients. Or poor management blaming the name. Just wondering.
Rmac702 Posted March 11, 2022 at 02:38 PM Posted March 11, 2022 at 02:38 PM I was told by an employee that the original Shoot Point Blank name was too aggressive.
Bubbacs Posted March 11, 2022 at 02:50 PM Posted March 11, 2022 at 02:50 PM From “shooting someone at point blank distance” a possible negative inference to “Range USA” a more relaxed non auctioned name. i picked this up from the Shorewood store. someone thought but didn’t know for sure but they have been swamped with all media weekly for more than six months. So my guess, outside “woke” pressures!
