Packy Posted March 8, 2022 at 12:51 PM Posted March 8, 2022 at 12:51 PM I know this has been talked about, but I can't find it. Is there a 1 year requirement to apply for a CCL after completing training?

Bubbacs Posted March 8, 2022 at 03:51 PM Posted March 8, 2022 at 03:51 PM Think of it like graduating from high school. You get your diploma and then it’s always with you for life. It’s a part of that permanent record your teachers always told you about!
Euler Posted March 8, 2022 at 11:03 PM Posted March 8, 2022 at 11:03 PM ... except you can only use the training certificate from CCL training once.
Xwing Posted March 11, 2022 at 01:56 PM Posted March 11, 2022 at 01:56 PM I used a training class that was over 5 years old when I applied for my Illinois CCW. It did not cause any issues. (This was for the 1st half of the requirement since obviously Illinois-specific training had just started at that point, so I still had to do the 2nd half.)
Tango7 Posted May 5, 2022 at 08:57 PM Posted May 5, 2022 at 08:57 PM One of my students waited nearly 2 years - it may have had to do with the former mis-interpretation of the "judicially required treatment" for DUI (or he was lazy). He was approved without delay or question.
