Representative LaPointe states that "gun violence" had been going down, then started rising around March 2020.  She asks why that occurred.

 

The speaker addressing that question does not answer it, but explains their desire to flatten the line to avoid the spikes in violence.

Another person adds that although the data shows that crime is increasing, the grass roots groups would say that crime it being managed at that time and place (presumable where they are located).

Ms. Flowers has taken the floor again.  She invites the participants to look at the Connor Report which, given the rambling nature of her speech, may or may not have anything to to with the subject at hand.

600 years? 2022 AD minus 600 years is 1422 AD. That's 70 years before "Columbus sailed the ocean blue". Not that such a fact would have anything to do with the narrative here, apparently.

Just round up to the nearest million. It's not like numbers mean anything anyway. Time, budgets, pharmaceutical dosages, ...  There are so many uses for meaningless, arbitrary numbers.
