  1. The GOP did a number in Virginia last night. Took the governor, LT governor, AG, and flipped the Va House. First time a republican had won a statewide election since 2009.
  2. And Durbin is threatening to use politics to influence the Supreme Court. Talk about an oxymoron
  3. Normally get the error on the first link of the thread that I open on this forum almost every time. Sometimes will get the error on more than one occasion. Just have to keep hitting reload.
  4. If I am reading that correctly it will now allow bowhunters to carry their concealed firearm while bowhunting deer and turkey. Don't see anything else good about it other than the basic auto renewal of the FOID if you have a CCL.
  5. I think I saw a post the other day from somebody that has been waiting for their new card for over a year.
  6. Personally I think the legislature should be limited to no more than 15 days per year, and get paid a stipend not to exceed minimum wage. They should be required to work a normal job the rest of the year.
  7. Rule the FOID unconstitutional, and full refund of all FOID fees paid starting in 1968.
  8. The always say that when a law is ruled unconstitutional then it is like it never existed. So therefore the state should be required to pay back all the money collected all the way back to 1968.
  9. I still get mail addressed to my grandmother from the soil conservation service about her farm and she past away in 1967
  10. Vandalia leader union had an article about Fayette County passing it also a couple weeks ago.
  11. And this is one of those cases where the state will spend way more in legal gymnastics than what it would cost if they just everybody their dollar back.
  12. I did an address change on my CCL and FOID on January 11 of this year. The FOID went active again on March 6 and I got it in the mail 6 days later. My CCL is still showing under review for the address change.
  13. Jeffrey, I guess the only good thing on my end is because the address change wasn't my doing, I only had to pay $6 for address changes as opposed to the $80
  14. I did a change of address on January 11 of this year do to being 911'ed I am still showing under review on my FOID and my CCL both are still valid until the new cards arrive, sometime in the next 20 years.
  15. For anybody that is changing their address due to receiving a E-911 address you need to call the firearms bureau and let them know. They are suspending the $75 charge for the FCCL and only charging $5 plus credit card processing fee for a total of $6. The down side is it suspends your carry until the supervisor can sign off on the process. Because the system will show payment pending on FCCL until the supervisor signs off taking you back to active.
  16. I just made a successful trip to the mailbox here in Fayette County. Mine finally showed up today after being approved on Friday. Evelope was dated Monday the 3rd. Hopefully Starcom21 you get your today also.
  17. Non compliant or not, I think there will be a certain amount of CCL people that will not enter the premises, and just go some place else.
  18. Maybe it only applies to employees and vendors, but the legal stature posted at the bottom may create a situation for somebody to get pinched. who knows for sure at this stage of the game if it is legally binding due to the stature, or not. May take a court case to straighten out. the other thing is why is IL the only state that has the sign on the door.
  19. I have also heard they terminate employees for violating corporate policy. Three years ago I had a RPS (revenue protection service) guy get in my face, and he and the store assistant manager were both fired. I came close to calling the police on the RPS guy, and filing a criminal complaint.
  20. I think the logic some people are trying to make, but I am not sure it is true is. Since the UAAW has been found unconstitutional, which means it was unconstitutional at the time of passing, how can you have an exception to a law that never constitutional to start with.
  21. Was looking at HB2368 ATV transport. How is moving the atv transport from the wildlife code to the criminal code good?
  22. Something I just saw over at MDshooters.com. On 12/18, the Judge allowed both sides the opportunity to express their views over the recent Moore/Sheppard decision at CA7, asking them to frame the response with the assumption en banc would not be granted with Moore: #205: http://www.archive.org/download/gov....5065.205.0.pdf On 1/4/13 the Plaintiffs responded with #206: http://www.archive.org/download/gov....5065.206.0.pdf and the City of Chicago with #207: http://www.archive.org/download/gov....5065.207.0.pdf
