There are many on our team in support of the 2nd Amendment, but we have turncoats that actively work against us. Heres what happened in 2018. Thanks Bill Brady.....

https://ilwd4cr.home...nt-think-again/

Before you dive into this lets be clear: Just because a candidate/seated politician has a ® next to them doesnt mean they abide by their party platform. Here is the IL GOP platform. Please pay attention to page 6 section C:

https://illinois.gop...blicanParty.pdf

We believe that day-to-day safety and security in our local communities is critical. Therefore, we strongly endorse and support the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, which states, in part, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. As a result, we oppose any efforts by the state or municipalities to impede the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.
We believe in the use of criminal background checks by licensed firearms dealers.
We oppose any effort to make public any personal information from FOID cards.
We support the statutory repeal of the FOID Act.
We support continued enactment of Concealed Carry legislation.
Seems pretty clear that the IL GOP does not endorse gun control. Great! Well, not so fast

During the 2018 election, some interesting stuff was found via a not widely spread article. As it turns out, the LEADER of the IL senate Republicans turned to an unlikely ally in order to get a boost for some weak incumbent candidates in districts that were up for grabs. Senator Bill Brady, the chairperson of the Republican State Senate Campaign Committee, gave GPAC (Gun Violence Prevention Political Action Committee) $38,000 to run ads for gun control supporting Republican Senators. The IL Senate Republican Campaign Committee PAID THE GUN GRABBERS!................

Dug up the mailers that were sent out and theyre in there. In the times we are facing in this state we need to hold them accountable and tell them we will not stand for this stuff. Enough is enough.

Little bit, but it would be wise to put pressure on the IL senate Republicans and the Dems that are on the fence that we are paying attention and have had it. You either support the 2nd amendment or you don’t. No “buts”.

Illinois House Republican Leader Jim Durkin told me to my face years ago (after Heller decision) that he disagreed with SC and does not believe 2A is an Individual Right !!!

He is my IL Rep. I stopped voting for him !

Wait.  Illinois has a GOP?    The only ®'s I saw on a ballot were sacrificial lambs.

The Second Amendment of the Constitution protects the rest.

Exactly the problem - they know nothing about history and their oath of office means nothing.

Yeah - my support for Brady evaporated when Obama was elected he was selling commemorative dinner plates.

He can spew a good message, but I don't trust him at all.

I don't believe Jim Durkin and Bill Brady are on the fence, they jumped over to the dark side.

Totally, but someone with a loud voice making the masses aware of this could do some good to help clean house ;)

I sent this to Brady and asked him to explain it in light of the GOP Platform - we'll see if anyone answers.

Didn't we have a court case making politicians doing that illegal?

Who gets to keep and read books? The Media? Or is it the People?
