dukesoprano Posted January 30, 2021 at 02:08 AM Share Posted January 30, 2021 at 02:08 AM I collect 1911s and feel Dan Wesson is the best production 1911s on the market until you get to the semi custom $3000 ish range. I currently have a Guardian in 38 Super. Check out 1911addicts forum

notshawn54 Posted January 30, 2021 at 12:36 PM Share Posted January 30, 2021 at 12:36 PM I concur with duke. Not only about Dan Wesson’s (I have a Guardian 45acp) but 1911addicts as well.
2A4Cook Posted January 30, 2021 at 03:13 PM Share Posted January 30, 2021 at 03:13 PM If you buy a DW 9mm, I suggest a Valor Commander, Valor, or V-Bob. For about $2200, you can get an Ed Brown EVO, which are incredible guns. I own or have owned everything mentioned, except the V-Bob, which is simply a Valor Commander with a bob. The lesser DW's have risen so much in price that it makes no sense not to pop for the flagship Valor.
Huski92 Posted January 31, 2021 at 03:13 AM Share Posted January 31, 2021 at 03:13 AM I own a CCO and use it for carry. Great gun! Especially for the money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Patriots & Tyrants Posted February 1, 2021 at 02:23 PM Share Posted February 1, 2021 at 02:23 PM IMO Dan Wesson makes the best "production" 1911 around. I agree with the comments about the Valor.
cnwfan3 Posted February 1, 2021 at 03:24 PM Share Posted February 1, 2021 at 03:24 PM I have a Dan Wesson PM9 (9mm 1911). It is by far the most accurate gun I own. More accurate than I am. You can tell how quality it is by the fit and finish. Well worth every penny I spent. There is very little take up and absolutely no creep whatsoever in the trigger. It's a crisp 3lb SA trigger right out of the box and needs no trigger work at all. I would agree it's the best production 1911 out there without getting into custom builds at twice the price. Chief Illiniwek Posted February 1, 2021 at 04:10 PM Share Posted February 1, 2021 at 04:10 PM I have a few DW 1911's. One of them is a 9mm Vigil Commander. You won't find a better 1911 for the money. Listen to @dukesparano. He's very knowledgeable as to DW 1911's, as is the aforementioned Dwe.
