CTA begins using "gun image" detection system
RECarry replied to Molly B.'s topic in Illinois Politics
Transit might be hard to guard, but consider how many government alphabet agencies equipped themselves with "weapons used in war" to defend themselves from what they perceive as threats from the general public. There's always money and rationalizations to serve governments' own interests. -
CTA begins using "gun image" detection system
RECarry replied to Molly B.'s topic in Illinois Politics
How about detecting suspects kicking someone in the head, pushing victims onto the third rail, hoodies with hand in pocket, jumping turnstiles without paying, carjacking at gas stations, and so on? Criminals are adaptive. -
Open Carry in Hawaii means a sword or pike.

Every citizen should do their part to reduce the spread of invasive species. Take up your spades, pitchforks, shovels, hoes, and smithied tools of choice. -
Perhaps I missed something, but I only remember seeing books, war-time recruiting posters, and drawers of archive materials.

"Compliance with the law". Swell. -
Biden, Citing Attack on Trump, Renews Call for "Assault Weapons" Ban
RECarry replied to mauserme's topic in National Politics
We've already seen "mostly peaceful" protestors supplied with pallets of bricks to launch at police. Supplies for M-type cocktails might also have organized sources. -

Tell us you don't understand the job description without telling us. How did she do with other "common sense" actions like closing the border? -
The McCloskeys want their seized firearms back
RECarry replied to Euler's topic in National Politics
From the photos, we also don't see what they saw and what they heard. A mob is not one person you can reason with. A leftist mob contains any number of nut balls who could be emboldened by the crowd. Someone hidden in the back could fire shots, throw bricks, or lob Molotov cocktails. Or, the homeowners could have been flanked. Some overt show of force seems appropriate to me. Charging the homeowners as lawbreakers is a joke when they were reacting to unstable lawbreakers bringing mayhem to their property. -

Waiting for the "Hasn't the Biden family suffered enough?" defense to protect The Big Guy.

Isn't Highland Park culpable? HP dislikes firearms and promotes that citizens can rely on the police for protection. Highland Park failed to secure the parade route by allowing access to the rooftop perch the shooter used. It wasn't the gun as much as the advantageous position the shooter used to attack a public event.

Taxes are burdensome also. I don't want to pay them anymore. Having to do work for clients is burdensome. Nuts to that.

Meyer v Raoul - Carry ban under-21
RECarry replied to Euler's topic in Judicial Second Amendment Case Discussion
I can't imagine "woke" schoolmates are very good friends. The nephew may realize he does need ways to defend himself in real life. -
Caulkins v Prizker Case Discussion
RECarry replied to jcable2's topic in Judicial Second Amendment Case Discussion
The long game may be to ramp up declarations that "gun violence" as a health emergency, while spewing false statistics and ignoring gang violence, severe mental issues, etc. The army of Karens will believe that guns are the leading cause of death among "children". It's a short step to then require registrations with public access to addresses just as sex offenders are registered and trackable by anyone who wants their neighborhood to be "safe from dangerous predators". A cousin who works in the courts was describing a one-time sex offender who must document and report every interaction they have with people beyond a short list of "approved" contacts. -
Have Questions About the new Protect Illinois Communities Act?
RECarry replied to mauserme's topic in Illinois Politics
The flowchart is cute, but does not address the gotcha's with magazines or parts, or the "could be readily converted to" language. How many people can afford to retain a lawyer for advisement on a Constitutional right none the less, given that the lists can be changed at any time by Pritzker or the ISP? -
^^^ Some individuals and groups still support the deep state's "protections", and may be arming themselves against the media-enhanced threat of "bigots" and "white supremacists". The right has not done a very good job revealing the Deep State to be a fraud that feigns support to groups it expects to garner votes from. I pray that that changes sooner than later.

I have tried pointing out to the leftist gun grabbers from North Shore suburbs that their well-stocked Sub Zero refrigerators will be prime targets for hungry looters should there be a mass exodus along Rt 41 from Chicago, Waukegan, etc. They can't imagine ever needing to defend themselves during conditions where laws won't matter.

Silencers should be celebrated by Marxists. They allow for the use and training of a tool in close quarters and indoors. Only wealthy landowners can afford large estates where enormous rooms and open spaces mitigate the report of a firearm. Maybe it's a case where leftists know they might snap and execute their opponents if it could be done silently (as they believe silencers work silently).
