  1. This is the time to ask Morrison how she feels about run-of-the-mill Israeli's being disarmed when terrorists attacked. And why won't that happen here with mental health support being lax, the borders are wide open, and antisemitism is on the rise? "No one needs" a defensive weapon in the north suburbs that she answers to?
  2. Good eyes. The replica of US Brig Niagara sails with the Tall Ships out of Erie, PA's Maritime Museum.
  3. Irony: This is exactly the reason why Highland Park's 4th of July parade tragedy was not stopped by a good guy or gal with a gun. Smart CCL holders avoid Highland Park. JB the Hut and Morgan the Grin have now made the entire state less safe from whack jobs, gang bangers, and terrorists.
  4. I seem to recall insane asylums and other institutions being fertile ground.
  5. There is "understand" and then there is "misunderstand".
  6. In defense of "scofflaws", what is the illiteracy rate in Cook County and Illinois? The PICA Act is incomprehensible to the average citizen on its face. What is the cost at attorney hourly rates to clarify for the average citizen what is stipulated? Why should it take months or years for the Supreme Court to validate individual rights that are clearly stated in the Constitution?
  7. Let's recap. Pritzker's minions crammed through an unconstitutional mess in the dead of night. They ignored thousands of our witness slips. Our "reps" ignored our comments and listened only to emotional zealots who know nothing about firearms. The streets are less safe and repeat offenders are being released in droves. Our "representatives" never objected to Pritzker extending his Covid emergency powers endlessly, proving there are no checks and balances on tyranny in Illinois. Nothing about "PICA" was born out of a representative government.
  8. So Shannon Watts says she (and women) are on the the front lines to eradicate gun violence? What have they done in person to stop gang violence in Chicago and other cities? They seem comfortable staging appearances in safe suburban communities, hoping they can rat out law-abiding gun owners to lump them in with sexual predators, smokers, drunk drivers, etc. That's not front line activity. That's cowardly, nasty, bigoted hate that doesn't even target violent criminals or mental defectives.
  9. For the record, the violent criminals who are actually dangerous still have a 0.00000% compliance rate. And they are "already known by police".
  10. Wait a minute. They installed a Supreme Court Justice who has a husband? Is this a traditional CIS wife-husband marriage or one of the acceptable new-fangled types? Must investigate!
  11. test: "assault weapon" "assault weapon" Assault Rifle assault rifle
  12. Whoever is doing the calculations of future value should account for government's history of devaluing our buying power (and it's fiat currency).
  13. Suggestion: Since this forum has a feature for converting profane words to ****, can the phrase assault weapon be edited to read "assault weapon"?
  14. Ironically, Warren's habit of bony finger pointing would get children suspended for making gun-like threats in school.
  15. Should the state push "an AR mag can hold too many 22LR's" argument, a magazine's intended use is as a feeding device that functions without jamming. A firearm that jams because of an overfilled magazine is no longer an "Assault weapon".
  16. So, they recognize that the perpetrator in Maine was "sick" (a very small fraction of the population), but aren't interested in a bill that promotes mental health treatment. It's more feel-good to draft a bill that presumes millions of inert firearms are mass shootings waiting to happen.
  17. Sinister intentions include arming the IRS and other alphabet agencies with "assault weapons". Why would bureaucratic agencies need "weapons of war" and why wouldn't Americans need to arms themselves against such tyranny? History and tradition points to Americans resisting such tyranny in the past.
  18. The state can't give "legal advice" about their vague rules, but will bring the full force of legal penalties down on your head for non-compliance. Sounds like tyranny to any reasonable person.
  19. The long game may be to ramp up declarations that "gun violence" as a health emergency, while spewing false statistics and ignoring gang violence, severe mental issues, etc. The army of Karens will believe that guns are the leading cause of death among "children". It's a short step to then require registrations with public access to addresses just as sex offenders are registered and trackable by anyone who wants their neighborhood to be "safe from dangerous predators". A cousin who works in the courts was describing a one-time sex offender who must document and report every interaction they have with people beyond a short list of "approved" contacts.
  20. Why would someone need your FOID log-in if they wanted to create a new account to hassle you? We don't know what cross-checks and de-dupes the ISP coded. As for WHY someone would do that, consider a vengeful ex, neighbor, or acquaintance who has enough info to create an account to create some havoc. In short, the ISP admitted that persons with FOID cards can create accounts.
  21. The ISP stated in Caseyville that one does NOT need a FOID card to register a firearm or accessory. What prevents someone from SWATing a neighbor or relative by adding them to the registry without their knowledge?
  22. That sounds like a proclamation, but not one that this nation was founded upon. And a clear sign that the real extremists seek confiscation at all costs, using LEO's to give their lives for her silly notions. She also seems to be in favor of exposing the names and addresses of registered gun owners. As a matter of public safety, she would want it known where all the scary guns are - just as the public has a right to know where the sex offenders live. Same thing, right? No compromise!!!!!
