Mayor Daley Wants to Sue Gun Manufacturers in the World Court in a Clueless Attempt to Reduce Violence in Chicago

 

WLS AM Chicago just reported Mayor Richard Daley wants to bypass the US Court System to prosecute gun manufacturers for violence in Chicago. Not sure how the gun manufacturers are responsible for violence in Chicago, especially since they are not allowed to sell guns in Chicago. Of course, we are talking about the insane mind of the oppressive Chicago mayor. Daley wants to take gun manufacturers to the Court of the Hague, an international court, to punish them, according to WLS AM.

 

Isn’t it like Daley to take actions that will not solve the problems in his city. Daley has been mayor for over 20 years, perhaps it’s time to admit he is the failure that has led to this increase in violence in Chicago. Obviously his oppressive gun laws haven’t helped, and I would conclude empowered street gangs since there is no threat of residents in Chicago defending themselves without breaking Chicago’s gun laws and being charged themselves of a crime.

Six years after the state Supreme Court dismissed his $433 million lawsuit against the gun industry, Mayor Daley today called for a change of venue — to the World Court normally reserved for disputes between nations and crimes against humanity.

 

Wrapping up the sixth annual Richard J. Daley Global Cities Forum, Daley convinced more than a dozen of his counterparts from around the world to approve a resolution urging "redress against the gun industry through the courts of the world" in The Hague.

 

"This is coming from international mayors. They're saying, 'We’re tired of your guns, America. ... We don't want those anymore because guns kill and injure people,' " Daley told a news conference at the University of Illinois at Chicago. . . .

Actually, in the audio clip I heard on WLS, Daley was talking about having victims of gun violence in other countries (like Mexico) sue US gun manufacturers in the World Court.

I'm sure he knows it is a longshot at best, but it will still force the gun makers to spend millions of $$ defending themselves. all part of the "death by a thousand cuts" strategy.

I'd say the gun manufacturers should just shove a erect middle finger into Daley's face and tell him we are a sovereign nation and a flyin' FLIP what you and the World Court thinks! Come and get us! What are they gonna do? Send the National Guard? INTERPOL? It's time for some defiance!

 

And Drylok may have an idea. If a lawsuit against gun manufacturers is lawful, then so is cell phones, and make-up companies, and McDonalds. All those companies that peddle driver distractions should be sued. Eventually, it would all come to a stop.
